Everwind Guide | How to Find the Stone Golem Boss

In this guide, you will learn how to locate and defeat the Stone Golem. You will understand where to find the boss, how the spawn system works, and what to expect during the encounter. This will help you prepare for the fight and collect important resources used for progression.

Understanding Spawn Mechanics

You need to keep in mind that the game uses a random generation system. Island layouts, structures, enemies, and terrain are all determined through RNG. This means you may not always find the same setup in each attempt.

The Stone Golem functions similarly to the Mortivar Lord, where both the location and rewards are not guaranteed. You may find the boss, defeat it, and still not receive the item you are looking for.

Why You Need the Stone Golem

You will want to defeat the Stone Golem to obtain the Abyssal Grim Core. This item is used to increase your altitude level and is also required for crafting, including alchemy and weapon creation.

The drop is not guaranteed. The boss may also drop other resources, including Crystals Of Spirit. Because of this, you should return and defeat the boss multiple times to collect more materials.

Finding the Correct Location

To locate the Stone Golem, you need to travel between 15,000 and 16,000 altitude. Once you reach this range, you should begin searching for Jungle Islands.

There are different types of jungle islands, but you are looking for one with a specific structure. The correct island will contain a single large Temple. While other small buildings may appear, there must only be one main temple present.

If you find an island with multiple temples, it will not contain the Stone Golem.

Identifying the Temple

The Temple you are looking for has a consistent structure. You will recognize it by its large size and central layout. Once inside, you need to locate the center room.

This temple is the only one that contains a single central chamber. When you reach this area, you will see statues along with Red Crumbly Blocks on the floor.

Accessing the Boss Room

To enter the boss area, you need to walk over the Red Crumbly Blocks. These blocks will break automatically as you step on them. Once they collapse, a path will open to a lower level.

This lower area contains the boss arena where you will fight the Stone Golem.

Additional Structure: Giant Sword

Some islands may also include a large Sword Structure. This structure does not always appear, but it can help you identify the correct island.

The sword contains a hidden room in its center. Inside, you will find Chests and loot. There is also a chest located at the top of the sword and sometimes additional loot on the handguard. You should collect these items before entering the boss fight.

Boss Difficulty and Resistances

The Stone Golem is considered a higher-tier boss. It has resistance to certain damage types, including 40% resistance to fire and 50% resistance to poison. These are also the types of damage it uses against you.

The boss has negative resistance to ice, making it weak to ice-based attacks. It is also affected by electric damage. You should bring weapons that deal these types of damage to improve your effectiveness.

Attack Patterns and Movement

You will fight the Stone Golem in an open arena with limited cover. One of the main attacks to watch for is its poison attack, which deals damage over time. You should avoid this as much as possible.

The boss also throws rocks, which are easier to avoid. It can perform a charge attack, so you should keep moving and maintain distance.

You can deal additional damage by attacking from behind. This allows you to apply backstab damage and can eventually stun the boss.

Enemy Spawns and Healing Phase

During the fight, the boss will enter a phase where it summons smaller enemies called Grun Knights. These enemies are easy to defeat, but they affect the boss in a specific way.

When a Grun Knight is defeated, it creates a healing orb that moves toward the Stone Golem and restores its health. Because of this, you should avoid defeating these enemies unless necessary.

While this phase is active, the boss will also generate a visible effect indicating that it is healing.

Combat Strategy

To complete the fight, you should focus on avoiding poison attacks and maintaining movement. You should position yourself carefully, use available space, and attack when possible.

Avoid interacting with Grun Knights to prevent the boss from healing. Focus your damage on the Stone Golem while managing its attack patterns.

To find the Stone Golem, you need to travel between 15,000 and 16,000 altitude. You must locate a Jungle Island that contains one large Temple. Inside, find the central room, step on the Red Crumbly Blocks, and access the boss arena below.
