In one of the first side quests of God of War Ragnarök, Mimir recounts on some of the things he did back when he had a body while serving Odin. He explains that while serving Odin, he persuaded the Dwarves of Svartalheim to build mining rigs and donate the resources to Asgard. Mimir now wants those rigs destroyed, but he no longer has arms or legs, so it is up to you to do so.

When you board a boat to search for Durlin, Atreus will inform you that you can either go left to continue the main quest or right to complete this side quest. Turn right and head to one of the three blue markers on the map. There are three mining rigs to destroy, which you can easily spot by seeing structures and a large chimney emitting black smoke. You can complete the objectives in each rig in any order.

Radsvinn's Rig

Radsvinn's Rig, which is the furthest to the right, includes a lot of combat. You'll be fighting Grims and Nightmares who spit acid. First, use ranged attacks to deal with the Nightmares, which can be extremely annoying. Keep moving and take advantage of the explosive casks and environment. If you become overwhelmed, move to the upper level for some breathing room. After defeating all enemies, you will discover a Nornir chest. To open it, you must first ignite three braziers.

The first brazier is located next to the chest. Light it with your Blades of Chaos. The second one is behind a fence. Climb a platform and throw your axe at an explosive cask to set it off. The final brazier is hidden behind barrels. Have Atreus use his Sonic Arrows to break the barrels and light the brazier.

Return to the Nornir chest to retrieve an Idunn Apple. After that, loot the area and destroy the furnace in the center to defeat the first rig. Don't forget to pick up any materials that fall from the furnace.

Althjof’s Rig

Althjof’s Rig is located to the north. This rig includes more puzzles than combat. As you dock your boat and climb the chain, you'll see one of Odin's Ravens. Take it out with your axe, then use a wheel to lower a crane equipped with a grapple point as shown above. Next, find another grapple point and use your Blades of Chaos to pull down a platform. Get on the platform, grapple over the gap, and detonate an explosive barrel. Don't overlook the chest nearby.

Atreus will remind you that you can break ground from a higher position. Grapple up, collect Hacksilver, and use the wheel to move the grapple point to the highest point. You'll come across another furnace, and after defeating more enemies, destroy it and gather the materials. Before leaving, shoot the barrels with a Sonic Arrow to obtain a lore scroll and a legendary chest containing the Njord's Tempest Light Runic Attack.

Modvitner's Rig

Modvitner's Rig is the last mining rig, located to the left. This one’s got a mix of both puzzles and combat. Once you dock and climb up, Wretches will ambush you. After defeating them, throw your axe at the golden target to clear a path. Climb the structure to fight more Wretches and discover a chest with one-half of the Yggdrasil Seed required to travel to Muspelheim. Listen for a barking lizard nearby—it's an Ormr, a tricky creature you have to attack from behind. To hit it, throw your axe through a hole in the wall.

After that, grapple across and take out more Wretches. A mini-boss, a Bergsra Mother who spawns Wretches from her back, is here for you to take down. Defeat her and her minions, blow up the final furnace, and loot the area. That is how you finish the In Service of Asgard side quest, giving Mimir some peace of mind and earning yourself some good treasure.
