Shift Up delivered something this year that gamers only fantasized about in video games. A stellar female protagonist that looks as cool as 2B from Nier: Automata. The long-awaited collaboration between Stellar Blade and Nier: Automata called the "Worlds Collide" has been officially announced. It might be as simple as a 2B costume for EVE and a 042 skin for the drone, but the fans are hoping for new story missions and possibly even music, as the composer is involved with both games.

Stellar Blade, EVE, 2B, Colab, Worlds Collide

According to Shift Up's roadmap, the Worlds Collide collaboration is expected to be released in December 2024. It will be a significant release to cap off the year and have a lasting impact on Stellar Blade, providing there are no delays similar to Photo Mode. Yes, Stellar Blade fans were treated to a new trailer for the September 2024 PlayStation State of Play, and the photo mode appears to be very stunning. Without a doubt, ShiftUp has displayed an entire photo studio in this mode, and we can anticipate that it will be racy and tempting.

In general, it appears to be a rather sophisticated photo mode with plenty of neat features, like being able to customize the characters' positions, expressions, and even the placement of their light sources. The intended release date was August, according to the roadmap. Needless to say, that never happened. From what we can tell, the delay is understandable, given the limited information provided. We'd hope that they are actually putting their best effort into making it extraordinary, like the game itself, rather than treating it as an afterthought. At the latest, we should see this new photo mode sometime in the next two months.

The graphic upgrade to Stellar Blade made an already beautiful game even better, with the most noticeable change including the EVE's body physics, outfits, and interactions. With this patch, Eve seems much more realistic. Additionally, the wind dynamics have been patched, and now it significantly impacts Eve's hairstyle and Nao's Suits, something that was oddly missing in the game during launch. It appears as though all of EVE's Nano Suits have been completely revamped with these physics.

This is surely a major upgrade for many, in my opinion, since the main purpose of these powerful winds is surely just to further animate EVE's long hair, not the Stellar Blade's sexiest outfits. Apart from the physics update, another useful feature is the pinning function, which allows you to attach nine distinct icons to any position on the map. Everything from treasure chests to doorways to persons is markable, and you can even follow these custom markers as an objective.

Plus, it's much easier to locate any items and components, and everything from cosmetics to Gear Sockets and Exospine may be customized in this way. It's a perfect feature for NewGame+, particularly when you can collect the newer versions of each Nano Suit. However, when you add all that stuff to the menu, it becomes fairly cluttered. So simply favorite an item or Nano Suit or components that you find yourself reaching for often, and it will be shown prominently.
