Playing Halo: Campaign Evolved in third person is a great way to get a new perspective on the campaign. To switch your camera view, you need to find a certain hidden Skull called Perspective. Here is how to unlock it quickly and turn it on for your playthroughs.
How to Find the Perspective Skull
You can grab the Perspective Skull during the very first level, The Pillar of Autumn. If you have already finished this mission, you can jump straight to the exact location using mission select.

Start by opening the campaign menu and selecting The Pillar of Autumn. You can set the difficulty to Easy to make the run faster, and choose Rally Point Bravo as your starting point in Halo: Campaign Evolved.
When the opening cutscene ends, turn your character around. You will see Captain Keyes standing in the bridge area. Follow the floor path straight toward the bridge controls, and you will find the Perspective Skull sitting on the ground right in front of you.
How to Enable Third Person Mode
Once you pick up the Perspective Skull, you must return to the main menu to activate it before loading into a mission.
First, back out to the main menu. Go to the campaign mission setup screen and open the Skull modifier menu. Enable the Perspective Skull and start your chosen mission in Halo: Campaign Evolved.
You cannot toggle between first-person and third-person views mid-game. You must turn the Perspective Skull on or off from the main menu before launching a mission. The third-person view also does not feature a shoulder-swapping mechanic.
