Here's how to get the Crest of Beast in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Crests are a central mechanic in Hollow Knight: Silksong and are all unique, made to suit all types of players. One such Crest is the Crest of Beast.

This guide will help you find the Crest of Beast.

What you will need

At first, you will need the Drifter's cloak; the dash ability is not necessary, but having it may make things easier.

Where You Have to Go

To find the Crest, you have to make your way to the area Hunter's March. There, you have to make your way to the section that looks like a vertical column.

It is also recommended that you save your game at the bench present in the top left room of this section. From here, you will head towards the right and try to reach the end of this area on the very right.

Going right, you will first encounter a trap, which you can jump over, and you will encounter a Skar Stalker, which you can also jump over, and move onto a platform in the middle of thorns.

From here, you will move upwards using the drift ability onto a platform high up, move to the right, and you will find an entrance to a structure known as the Chapel of the Beast.

Once you are in, you will have to make your way to the top using Drifter's cloak and make your way across a parkour section, where you have to float for each pogo until you reach it.

Otherwise, you will overshoot it if you dash or miss it completely if you don't float. If you have practiced diagonal pogoing before coming here.

You then glide upwards and are met with more platforming; you have to pogo upwards and then move left once you reach the top, and you will have to drop down using the drift ability. At the bottom, you will be met with a few enemies.

I suggest avoiding fighting them and dropping down. You will find a lever on the right that opens a door that allows you to skip the parkour section you just came across. You will now have to fight a boss.

The Savage Beast Fly

The Savage Beast Fly is quite a challenging fight. The Beast Fly has two types of attacks, which are a swoop across the arena and a slam attack from the top. There are two distinct stages; in stage two, the Beast Fly will spawn smaller enemies.

For this boss fight, you have to stay nimble and try to avoid being hit by the Beast Fly, as it will do 2 masks' worth of damage.

You can do this by jumping and dashing over it when it does the swoop attack from below, dashing away underneath it when it does the swoop from above, and dashing out of the way when it does the slam attack. I also suggest you try to stay in the middle, as the walls will hinder your maneuverability.

During the slam attack, you can also get damage when it hits the ground and you attack it. You can also pogo on it when it does the swoop attack, getting extra hits.

However, I suggest not getting too cocky, as getting hit will cost you two. When it spawns the smaller enemies, I suggest taking those out.

After Defeating the Boss

After defeating the boss, you will have to head to the left, where you will find a slain beast, which you have to interact with, giving you the beast crest.
