Horizon Forbidden West Shadow From the Past Guide

Despite the end of Horizon Zero Dawn some members of the Eclipse may have survived. With the mission Shadow from the Past has Aloy investigate a soldier's claim about Eclipse soldiers nearby.

The soldier named Rayad killed a fellow soldier that may be part of the organization. Follow the waypoint and investigate the blood to highlight a trial. The path will lead you through machines and finding Eclipse soldiers, with a focus on the final area being held by the traitor. Interact with the soldier to play the recording and confirm Rayad's word, interact with it again to grab the mask, and return to Barren Light. Give the mask and your evidence to free Rayad.

This mission will then unlock the final mission in this line where you'll face an optional boss.
