Driving in InZOI makes the simulator experience much more realistic. Mastering the basics of driving is important, whether you're just going for a ride through the city or seeing what your car can really do. This guide lists all the important, fun, and interesting details about owning, driving, and maintaining a car that you might miss.
Getting Your First Car
Getting a car in InZOI is really easy. All you have to do is pull up your phone by pressing the "P" key on your keyboard. Then, go over to your Dream Car app and pick a car. You can only have one car per household, so if you want a different one, you'll need to sell your current car first.
Once you do that, you'll see a list of all the cars you can choose from. For example, you might decide to buy a black SUV. After purchasing, the car will appear right outside your house.
Car Ownership and Access
No one else can drive the car but the person who owns it. Some people in the house won't be able to drive it if your main character is the owner.
The game will tell your character can't drive the car because she isn't the owner if she tries to get in. She should sit in the passenger seat while you take over as the driver.
Automatic and Manual Driving
There are two types of driving: automatic and manual. To drive manually, open your settings, go to "Gameplay", and enable manual driving. By default, this is turned off, so you'll need to toggle it on and apply the changes. Car physics isn't as advanced as games like GTA or Need for Speed, but it works well enough.
If you prefer automatic driving, just pull up the map and pick a destination, like the music park, and the game will take you there automatically. It works like fast travel.
Vehicle Functions and Features
You can click your mouse to sound the horn. You may view it in a number of different ways. You can switch to first-person view by pressing the "Tab" key. The usual view is the third-person view. When you're in first-person, you can look over your shoulder by moving your mouse.
In the game, hitting things with your car won't hurt it, so don't worry about that. However, if you hit a moving vehicle, you'll trigger a minor car accident. When that happens, you'll see an alert saying a traffic accident occurred and that your character could be upset. It doesn't appear to affect your karma rating, even after multiple accidents.
Car Maintenance and Interaction
Cars in InZOI aren't especially fast—sometimes walking feels just as quick—but they do have cool features. You can wash and repair your car. You can sell your current car and buy another one at any time. Some cars, like the Zcar, might even feel faster than the SUV.
You can take selfies with your car, open and close all the windows individually, and even turn on your emergency lights. If you hit certain pedestrians, they might react dramatically, while others won't react at all. It depends on the person and possibly the car.
Miscellaneous Driving Mechanics
When you get out of your car, it doesn't stay where you left it; it goes back to your house. This can be annoying, especially if you want it to stay put, which is a shame because you also can't ride bikes.
As a player, you could add mods for first-person shooters or take over cars, which would make the game feel more like GTA. Strange things will happen, like losing your car and having to take the bus home.
You can buy different kinds of cars, like a blue hatchback, and drive with the trunk open. But from inside the car, you can't close the trunk. Even so, the inside of the car looks pretty good.
Limits and Final Thoughts
You'll hit a wall if you try to drive into the ocean or go down certain stairs. There are some nice visuals in the game, like flames and good lighting.
If you like driving InZOI and playing around with its features, there's more to discover. Many interesting things are waiting to be found, and there will be many fun times along the way.
