Starting a new life in InZOI can be hard, but this guide makes it easy. You'll learn how to play the game, take care of your Zoi, and enjoy the world around you. This guide will help you get started quickly, whether you're new or just need a review.
Starting the Game
When you open InZOI for the first time, you'll start by making your Zoi. If you have used the Creator Studio before, you can still use your old Zoi. Things can stay the same or change.
Take some time to look at the things you can use to make things. You can alter everything about yourself, including how you look and what you wear. Don't be afraid to try out different styles.
You need to choose a trait, too. This tells other people how your Zoi acts, feels, and interacts with others. Since there are 18, read through them all to find the best one.
After that, you can choose a desired life. These include creativity, simplicity, wisdom, and more. If you skip this step now, you can always add it later since it is optional.
You'll also have the chance to take photos in the photo studio. Then, choose a city, pick a house, and get ready to dive in.
Adjust the Settings Menu
Check the menu settings before you do anything else. This menu includes graphics, audio, and screen settings. If your system is having trouble, you might want to turn down the graphics.
You can also change the length of each day. One choice is to make each day last 48 minutes. Change the settings to play the way you want to.
Managing Your Zoi
Your Zoi can run on autopilot, but you should still check in. You'll find your Zoi's schedule on the map or in the phone app. Make sure to turn on autonomy so your Zoi can meet its own needs when needed.
There are eight main needs to track. These include hunger, hygiene, sleep, bathroom, fun, social, recognition, and energy. Sleep and hunger are the most important early on.
Click any need to make your Zoi handle it right away. Your Zoi also has emotions that appear as dots on the screen. They can feel more than one emotion at once.
You can cue or cancel actions at any time. If you want to change clothes, click your Zoi to choose from presets or restyle them from scratch.
Understanding the UI
The interface may look complicated, but it gets easier. The Pat's Guide is a great built-in tutorial. You'll also get helpful pop-ups as you play.
You'll see six icons in the bottom right. These include Pat's Guide, Edit City, Edit Streets, Build Mode, Zoi Card, and the Relationship menu. On the left side, you'll find time, temperature, and game speed.
You can move each icon wherever you like, and you can use these menus often as you build and manage your world.
Edit City Mode
This mode lets you shape your city however you want. You can change themes and seasons and even control the weather. You can upload images or videos to change billboards, too.
Pick the trees, grass, and decorations. Want foxes wandering around? You can add them. Fireworks, drones, and fireflies can all be added to make the city livelier.
Edit Streets Mode
Edit Streets gives you more control in smaller areas. This option only works when you're in an editable zone. You can add, remove, or change objects and their colors.
There are lots of options here. If you need something specific, use the search bar.
Build Mode
You design your house and buy furniture in the Build Mode. You can start from scratch or use a preset. Everything from the walls to the gates and more can be added.
Furniture is sorted into categories, and there's also a search option, and you can also change textures, colors, and patterns.
You can even upload your own designs. Use a 3D printer in-game to create new furniture. Real photos can become 3D objects, and you can mix and match items to craft your perfect setup.
Using the Zoi Card
You'll use the Zoi Card a lot. You can change Zoi's tastes, set goals, and keep track of her progress. You'll be able to use more skills and powers as your Zoi grows.
Values can change over time based on what your Zoi does. There are also urges here. These are just random wants, like writing in a book or buying a lottery ticket. You get meow coins for the meow store when you finish them.
There are things in the store that can speed up or slow down needs. This is also where you can see your reputation score. This keeps track of how good or bad your Zoi is.
Relationships
Your relationships menu is like a diary. Zois are grouped by type: family, love, business, and friendship. Talk to random Zois to start building connections.
You'll need keys to unlock more info about a Zoi. Sometimes, you won't get answers right away. Each profile logs past interactions, making it easy to keep track of things.
The Phone Menu
Your Zoi's phone has many helpful menus. It tracks ambitions, bills, messages, and your career. You'll also buy your car from here.
The Pocket Market inside the phone includes food delivery and house services. School, work, and social messages also show up here.
Friends, coworkers, and partners may even send you gifts. It's worth checking your phone often.
Making Money
To start earning, go to your phone and choose a job. You'll get a notification when it's time to work. Your Zoi doesn't physically leave—they sit in a cab instead.
You can use that time to decorate or tweak your city. Other money options include selling secondhand items or setting up stalls in the park. You can also try the lottery if you're feeling lucky.
City Report and Karma
Check out your city report to see how things are going in your city. It lets you know if something is clean or safe, and you can use it to punish or remove Zois.
Take care of fate to keep your city in balance. Hold on to this tool to keep things going in your world.
Wrapping Up
Now that you know the basics, go and explore InZOI. At first, the menus may seem complicated, but you'll get used to them over time. This game has a lot of depth, and you'll enjoy it more as you play it.
Have fun building your world and getting to know your Zoi.
