Little Nightmares III Guide | How to Escape Kin and Mini Kin (Chapter 3)

As you progress through the story, you’ll eventually face a mandatory chase involving Mini Kin. This pursuit will end with Kin catching you. When you regain consciousness, you’ll find yourself imprisoned in a room — Low suspended in a hanging Cage, and alone, trapped on the floor. What happens next depends entirely on which of the two you’re controlling — Low or Alone.

Coordinating The Distraction

If you are playing as Alone, your primary task is to reach the crank located behind the room divider. To make this possible, Low must generate enough noise to divert Kin and Mini Kin’s attention. This distraction allows Alone to move undetected toward the crank. However, the noise level must be carefully balanced — too much will alert Kin and result in being caught in Little Nightmares III.

Operating The Crank

Once Alone reaches the crank, rotate it all the way to the right to bring Low’s Cage closer to the Nome’s Cage. When the Cages are aligned, Alone must hold the crank steady while Low shoots the frayed rope above the Nome’s Cage. This action will cause the Nome to fall, prompting Kin and Mini Kin to leave the area in pursuit.

Breaking Free

After Kin and Mini Kin exit the room, climb the Ladder and leap onto Low’s Cage to break it open. Both Low and Alone will then be free. Move to the right side of the room until you reach the dining area. Here, push the Cage located under the dining table to uncover a loose floorboard. Drop through this opening to proceed further in Little Nightmares III.

Beneath The Floorboards

Continue moving through the narrow path under the floorboards until you arrive at the dressing room. Wait patiently for Kin and Mini Kin to exit the area before emerging from hiding. Once it’s safe, backtrack through the house until you reach the stage.

Returning To The Stage

On the stage, you’ll see Kin and Mini Kin watching a performer juggling. As you pass through the bar area on your way there, make sure to inspect the counter — there’s another breakable Geisha Statue that you can collect before proceeding in Little Nightmares III.
