Little Nightmares III Guide | How to Find The Key (Chapter 1)

Here's a guide on how to find the Key in Chapter 1 of Little Nightmares III.

In Chapter 1: Necropolis of Little Nightmares III, you will come across a locked Door that cannot be opened using regular tactics. Instead of breaking or destroying it, you will need to locate a Key hidden nearby.

This section requires coordination between both Low and Alone. Follow the steps below to get the Key and continue your progress through the Necropolis.

Finding Crank and Crate

When you reach the locked Door, move left and cross the wooden planks ahead of you. You will come across a Crank mechanism that must be operated to solve this section.

Have one player turn the Crank to lower the hanging crate nearby. Once the crate is lowered, the second player should jump onto it and prepare to ascend in Little Nightmares III.

After the second player is on top of the crate, the first player should turn the Crank once again to raise it back up. This will lift the second player to a higher platform, allowing them to reach the area above.

Lowering The Ladder

From the elevated position, the player at the top needs to move toward the far-right side and pull the Lever. Doing this will release a Ladder, giving the player below a way to climb up.

Once both Low and Alone are at the top, head to the doorway on the left. Remove the Wooden Plank blocking the entrance to proceed into the next room in Little Nightmares III.

Getting The Key

Inside the room, you will notice a Crow holding a shining Key in its beak. To make it drop the Key, have Low use his Bow to shoot at the Crow.

Once struck, it will fly away and release the Key onto the ground. Collect it, then return to the Locked Door and use the Key to unlock it, allowing you to continue deeper into the Necropolis in Little Nightmares III.
