There are so many different endings and weapons in the Forgotten Kingdom DLC for Remnant 2. This guide is going to help you consolidate all the different options when you're running the different endings to get all the loot for the Forgotten Kingdom DLC storyline.

First Playthrough and Walt Interaction

The first playthrough is the one you should consider doing first because you're going to want the gun from the end of the DLC. For this ending, you're going to want to talk to Walt in all four locations where you see him throughout your story as you progress through the world.

First time you talk to him, make sure you enter his dialogue a few different times. He's going to say different things, and he's going to give you the option to purchase two different rings and a couple of consumables.

The Burden of The Mesmer is 100,000 scrap, so it's recommended that you do not buy it because, in this ending, you are going to get it for free. The ring gives you 1% damage for every 5% of your total damage reduction, but it also reduces your max Health by 25%. The other ring, the Ravager's Bargain, increases all damage and all critical chance by 5% with bleeding.

You won't get a discount on it, so it's recommended you pick it up. You want to talk to him and make him your friend—choose the dialogue options that say things like friend and pal and don't really question him or get mad at him. This will contribute to another option down the road.

Progressing Through the Story

Then, you're going to get to the part of the story where you're going to lower the statue in the middle of the map. This is kind of the middle of the story after that first boss that you come across. Then you're going to go across the bridge to a second door.

There, you can go around and go down the elevator. That is going to take you here to the bloodless Throne. You're going to cross this invisible bridge and talk to Lydusa for the first time. It's here that Lydusa is going to talk to you in an indecipherable language, but eventually, she is going to blast you.

You're going to be able to hear her and understand her because she puts a curse on you, so you're going to get a debuff placed on your character for the rest of the story.

Meeting Walt Again and Obtaining the Cherished Fracture

After you talk to her, you're going to make your way over and go down the elevator and speak to Walt for the third time. Once you talk to him for the third time, you're going to be on your way to finding the Cherished Fracture in the story. You're going to make your way up to this elevator, which is going to take you to Walt again so you can talk to him for the fourth time before you get the Cherished Fracture. He's going to be very Doom and Gloom, and he appreciates you being a friend—Walt is broken. Now, you're going to progress further on into the area and open up the statue in the middle, and this is going to allow you to go in and get that Cherished Fracture.

Decision Points: Using the Cherished Fracture

Once you get that Cherished Fracture, there are actually three things you can do with it, and this is where you're going to have to make decisions about your story. The first option is to just take it straight back to Lydusa and give her the spirit. It will actually activate immediately once you get there, so make sure that you want that to be your decision before you get there. You'll just fight her normally, and you'll get the material for the weapon.

If you go back to McCab, you're going to be able to craft the Monolith, which is an amazing gun. When you're done with that, make sure you go back to Walt because you've been putting in all the effort to become his friend and get him to trust you throughout this entire story. When you go back to him at that last location, he's going to give you a friend and family discount on the Burden of Mesmer ring.

However, you'll see in one of the other options that you can actually get that ring for free, but he's also going to give you the Feathery Binding. This ring increases projectile speed by 15% and decreases weapon charge time by 10%—The bonus is doubled when haste is active, and you get that ring just by being a good friend to Walt.

Alternative Option: Taking the Cherished Fracture with You

Option two—and you will still get the weapon for this option—is to take the Cherished Fracture back with you when you talk to Walt for a fifth time. He's still going to be in the same location as the fourth time, so you just need to go back there and talk to him. When you're done talking to him, and you turn around, a special cut scene plays, and he is going to take the Cherished Fracture.

Note that it was pretty difficult for some players to get this to trigger in Co-op; you had to have one person dead, and then half the time, it wasn't triggering. However, when you go solo, the cut scene triggers just fine.

If you're having issues in Co-op, try having the host of the adventure be the one to talk to Walt, and then have the other people dead while they're doing that, to hopefully trigger the cut scene. If that doesn't trigger, then you're probably going to have to do it as a solo achievement in your own game.

The Lydusa Fight and Rewards

Then, you have no other choice but to fight Lydusa at that point. You go into the Lydusa fight, and you're going to see a different cut scene with Walt before the fight. Lydusa is going to kill Walt, and then you're going to fight Lydusa normally, just like you would have in the previous situation.

You will get the material for the weapon and the reward for doing that with Walt, which is the burden of Mesmer ring that Walt is selling for 100,000 scrap—you are actually going to get it for free if you do this option and make sure you are a friend to him and he thinks of you as a friend.

You're also going to get an achievement, and then make sure you come back to the bloodless Throne after you kill Lydusa to check for the tier of Lydusa because that ring is going to be sitting there on the ground. You should be able to go back to this location and grab it.

The tier of Lydusa increases healing and lifesteal efficacy by 20% and reduces the healing efficacy bonus by 1.5% for each 10% of missing Relic capacity. That is her normal kill, plus the Walt ending is thrown in there as well to kind of multitask.

Alternate Kill for Lydusa

Now you're going to move on to her alt kill. For Lydusa's alt kill, you need the side dungeon Goddess's Rest. It is not guaranteed, and it's a random side dungeon, so you have to make sure you have that in this storyline in order to do her alt kill. If you're not looking to get the alt kill for Lydusa and you are in Goddess's Rest, you can go there before you pick up the Cherished Fracture and not have anything to give the bowl.

But if you do have Goddess's Rest and you are looking to do the alt kill for Lydusa, you need to bring the Cherished Fracture material—the quest material—to this dungeon into the center throne room and place it in the bowl in front of you. You piece Lydusa back together, all your shards united again—you are whole, you are you—and that is going to trigger her alt kill, and her alt kill cut scene.

After you do that, you're going to get the blossoming core, which is the material for the alt kill. If you go back to Ward 13 and talk to McCabe, you're going to be able to craft the melee weapon. The melee weapon Mirage has a cyclone mod; you swing it around above your head and create this sandstorm.
