Star Fox on the Nintendo Switch 2's Sector Z is one of the more difficult missions on the hard route. The secret exit here requires that the Great Fox be protected from three waves of Copperhead missiles. Each wave has more missiles than the last — one in the first, two in the second, and three in the third. The numbers don't sound bad, but the timing makes it hard.

Get Behind the Missiles

The best way to kill a Copperhead missile is to get behind it and use the brakes to slow it down and remain on it until it is destroyed. This will allow you the maximum amount of time to get your shots in. Attacking from the side is also an option if you're aiming for a steady shot.

Don't Attack Head-On

Stay away from frontal attacks. Both your ship and the missile are moving towards each other, so you have only a split second to do damage. It's not enough time. It takes about 30 seconds for each missile to reach the Great Fox, and if you get hit by any of them, you will be taken to the standard exit.

Upgrade Your Lasers

Before you get to Sector Z, make sure your lasers are upgraded. The more damage you do, the quicker you can destroy each missile, which is important when you're in the third wave and time is running out.

Katt Monroe Shows Up If You Came From Zoness

If you went through Zoness, Katt Monroe will come out and assist you in destroying the missiles. This will help to ease the pressure, so be mindful of that when navigating through Star Fox.

Select the Secret Exit

Protect the Great Fox in all three waves and two exits open up. The standard route is Bolse. The secret zone in Zone 6 will place you on the sixth step of the hard route in Star Fox on the Nintendo Switch 2.
