You can only give two gifts to each villager every week. This means that you only get two chances each week to improve your relationship with them. With hundreds of items, it is somewhat difficult to ascertain what gifts they might like. While it is fun to figure things out through trial and error, as the game marks what gifts they like or dislike, it is also useful to just know their preferences. Emily has a wide range of gifts that she finds appealing. Her list of gifts:

The best gifts to give Emily are Cloth and Wool. With wool being the superior one since it's the easier one to get. You can also craft the survival burger when you get sufficient levels in combat.
