Super Meat Boy 3D Guide | How to Unlock Glitch Boy

Super Meat Boy 3D has a lot of hidden things to find, but Glitch Boy sits apart from all of them. Most characters unlock through Bandages, Dark World completions, or secret levels. Glitch Boy doesn't follow any of that. To get him, you need to track down five glitches, one hidden in each world of the game.

Just touching a glitch is enough — you don't need to finish the level after finding it. Touch it, leave the stage, and it counts. Glitch Boy himself has a glitching visual effect and is almost invisible, which isn't the most useful thing in the game. But he's tied to an achievement, so finding all five is worth doing.

World 1 Glitch – Thorn Trial

The first glitch is in World 1, level 12, Thorn Trial. When you get to the open area, you'll see a path going forward with a tree falling across it. Don't follow that path. Instead, drop into the small gap below and grab the Glitch hiding down there. Keep an eye out for saws being thrown at you while you do it.

World 2 Glitch – Trash Metal

In World 2, head to level 14, Trash Metal. Right at the start of the level, there's a small cove far out to the side. Use the first platform to wall jump your way over to it. The Glitch is inside, and once you land over there it's not hard to grab.

World 3 Glitch – Questionable Working Conditions

World 3's glitch is in level 8, Questionable Working Conditions, and it's the hardest one to reach. You need to get close to the end of the level, then jump off the last wall and loop back around to the platform behind it. There's a hidden area back there with the Glitch in it. Once you know the spot, the execution becomes easier, but finding it the first time takes some work.

World 4 Glitch – Magma Wastes

Go to level 7 in World 4, Magma Wastes. Play through the level as normal, dodging the blocks and their lava trails. When you reach the spot where you'd normally break through a glass panel, don't go through it. Jump up the wall instead and you'll see the Glitch sitting on a platform just above. If you have a character with a double jump, like Pumpkin Jack, this one becomes a lot easier to reach.

World 5 Glitch – Crumbled Canyon

The last glitch is in World 5, level 4, Crumbled Canyon. Right at the start, look to the left and you'll see a large metal pipe. You can reach it after your first jump. Jump off the metal sides to climb up it, and keep going until you hit a wall near the top. The Glitch is there, and if this is your fifth one, Glitch Boy unlocks as soon as you touch it.
