Tomb Raider Guide | How to Retrieve the Block and Tackle

Here's a guide on how to retrieve the Block and tackle in Tomb Raider.

This section of the A Pirate's Life mission guides you through retrieving the Block and Tackle item from a guarded ship. You will use stealth and platforming to secure the area and collect the objective.

Initial Approach and Stealth Takedown

First, take cover behind the barrels to your left. Two enemies are in the area. Wait for their conversation to end. Target the enemy positioned closer to you. You can use either the bow or the Stealth Pistol for this.

Clearing the Upper Level

After eliminating the first guard, leap over to the ledge where the body is located. From this position, aim at and eliminate the enemy on the upper level. Before proceeding, search both bodies. Then, take the stairs on your left.

Traversing the Ship's Exterior

You will soon reach a wall. Jump towards it and bounce off to catch an interactive ledge. Begin moving to the right.

When you reach a specific point, leap up to a higher ledge. Continue moving right from here until you can pull yourself up onto another platform.

Securing the Block and Tackle

You will now arrive at the main deck. Select any weapon from your inventory. Look for and shoot the pulley mechanism. This action will free the Tackle. Approach the fallen item and pick it up.
