Here's a guide on how to complete the comm tower mission in Tomb Raider.

You begin this section by leaving a base behind. Note that after passing the Day Camp at the Bridge Clearing, you cannot return. Your objectives involve combat, retrieving a key item, and ascending a communications tower.

Initial QTE and Battle Strategy

Just past a truck wreck, a quick-time event triggers. Move the controls left and right, then press the indicated button to kick an enemy off and engage in combat.

You can manipulate enemy spawns by moving forward to trigger them, then retreating to a safe position, such as the alley where a Marksmanship Medal is found. This draws enemies to you. Shooting enemies rarely follow the charging melee attackers, allowing you to divide and defeat groups separately.

Combat and Tower Detonation

Defeat all enemies in the area. You can detonate a tower by shooting its red explosive barrels. Use this tower base as a secure position to eliminate the remaining skirmishers.

Shield Enemy Encounter and Bow Part

When you approach the doors of the Comm Tower building, a shield-wielding enemy appears. You will unlock Axe Strikes for this encounter.

Dodge his attack, then counter by pressing the shove button, which now makes Lara attack with her Pry Axe. Defeat him and loot all corpses. The shield enemy drops a Bow Part.

Base Exterior Treasure Map

You'll find the Base Exterior Treasure Map on a raised platform in the center. You can only reach it by using the zip line from the nearby Base Camp.

Clearing the Area and Climbing the Tower

Once you've defeated the shield soldier and cleared the inside, you're free to explore and use the zip line without any more enemies. Next, climb the Comm Tower. The climb is simple. At the top, you'll start a mini-game to send out a distress call.

Broadcast Mini-Game

Follow the button prompts to complete the broadcast. The prompts correspond to your specific gaming system.

Acquiring the Firestriker and Igniting the Signal

After the broadcast, use a zip line to descend to a fuel tank on the mountain top. Here, you will find the Firestriker. This item allows you to light your Torch anywhere. Use the Torch to ignite the fuel, triggering a cutscene. After the scene, you will be in the Cliffside Village
