Using weapons in WWE 2K26 changes the way you play. It turns a normal fight into a chaotic one. Once you learn the buttons, you will stop using just your fists. If you are new, these tricks help you look like an expert and stop you from getting disqualified. You can use these steps to grab items or trick the official so you do not lose the match.

How to Pick Up and Use Weapons

You do not need to do anything hard to find a weapon. If there is an item on the ground, walk over to it. Press L1 on PS5, LB on Xbox, or U on PC. Make sure you are standing very close or you will miss. Once you have it, press Square or X to swing it. You can use X or A for a different attack. If you want to throw the item, hold a direction and tap Circle or B. To put the item back down, just press the same button you used to pick it up. Throwing things into the ring early is a smart move so you have a backup later.

Getting Items from Under the Ring

If the floor is empty, you can find more items hidden away. Go outside the ring and stand in the middle of the apron. Stay away from the sides that have big screens. Press L1, LB, or U to lift the cloth. A Weapon Menu will show up on your screen. Use the stick to look through Chairs, Kendo Sticks, and Tables. Press X, A, or K to pick what you want. You can start swinging right away or slide the item into the ring for later. Doing this ensures you never run out of things to hit your opponent with.

The Referee Distraction Trick

In a regular match, the Referee will disqualify you if they see you hit someone with an item. You can avoid this if you have a Manager with you. Hold R1 or RB and press Up on the D-Pad. Your Manager will start an argument with the Referee. While they are distracted, you can grab a weapon and use it. You only have a few seconds before the Referee looks back. You can also try to argue with the Referee yourself by pressing Up on the D-Pad to buy some time. This lets you do a lot of damage without getting caught.

Advanced Weapon Tactics

You should use your items to target specific limbs. This helps you set up for Submissions or Finishers. If you have a Table, you can lean it against the corner by pressing X or A while holding a direction. Not every item does the same amount of damage, so try them all to see what you like best. It is a good idea to practice these moves in an exhibition match first. Once you get the timing right, you can turn any normal match into a fight where you have all the power.
