Speculations about the impending Ryzen 10800X3D suggest the industry is pushing beyond the typical limits of today's X3D CPUs by combining higher core counts, massive cache capacity, and a revamped chiplet architecture into a single gaming-oriented processor.

Not necessarily. The Ryzen 10800X3D remains entirely rumor-based right now, and the processor may not launch until late 2026 or even early 2027. If you need a CPU today, you should still buy based on the currently available hardware rather than wait indefinitely for future products.
At the same time, as a preview of AMD's possible future direction, the Ryzen 10800X3D is incredibly exciting.
