Only a few days after the game has been released, the developers behind the recent Lord's of The Fallen remake, Hexworks, have disabled crossplay for both PC and Console versions of the game. This is most likely due to the developers addressing the numerous player reported bugs that were present when the game was released on 13 October 2023. Luckily many of these issues seemed to have been resolved but there are still quite a few that need to be addressed.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the game, Lords of The Fallen is both the follow-up to and the remake of the 2014 game of the same name. The previous game is famed as being the first Souls-like game that wasn't developed by From Software, but it is also famed for how clunky and slow the game's controls are. However, with the recent remake / sequel, things seem to be going well for the title which has been praised by both fans and critics, despite what the mixed Steam Reviews say. The developers are also actively working to improve the game and have already released numerous patches and fixes, one of which has upped the difficulty of the game's first two bosses. However, there does seem to be bigger issues at hand as recently, the developer has disabled crossplay for Lords of The Fallen.

The post that was shared, reaffirms that while yes, both co-op and multiplayer modes are still available, these are restricted to their specific platforms.

The news of crossplay being temporarily disabled is quite the blow to players who were hoping to play Lords of The Fallen with friends on other platforms, but they'll most likely not need to wait that long. Hexworks has acknowledged that yes, the game has its flaws but they are actively trying to ensure that all these issues get resolved as soon as possible.
