Sony opened their E3 2014 press conference with a bang, revealing more about Bungie's up-and-coming title Destiny. After a stunning trailer of the game was shown, Andrew House, President and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., announced that Destiny will be playable first on PlayStation.

The Destiny beta will be available to PlayStation owners on July 17, with the first look alpha available to PlayStation 4 users this Thursday, accessible for three days. To access the alpha, those interested merely need to visit greatnessawaits.com/destiny, submit their PSN ID and wait. Those selected to participate will receive confirmation via their PS4 and associated email address before 12:01am PDT, Friday, June 13.

House continued his spiel, sticking it to Microsoft saying, "Destiny isn't just first on PlayStation, it's better." With this, he announced an exclusive Destiny bundle featuring a 500 GB glacier white PS4, matching dualshock 4 controller, the game and a 30-day trial membership for PlayStation Plus. The bundle will be available with the game's release on September 9.

Further into the press conference, Adam Boyes, Vice President of Publisher and Developer Relations, SCEA, announced that on launch day PlayStation users will receive exclusive content for Destiny. Included will be unique weapons, armor sets, gear, "kick ass" ships and Exodus, an exclusive competitive multiplayer map. Furthermore, players will receive an exclusive strike on mars, a stand-alone co-op adventure wherein you battle colossal bosses.

Concluding his Destiny briefing, Boyes messed with Microsoft's ego a bit more saying, "Needless to say, when Destiny comes to PlayStation this year, it will do so first, bigger and better than on any other platform." Burn.
