Details on Destiny's New Subclasses

Bungie has release new details about the three new subclass coming to each guardian class, as well as new grenades and other features that will change each new style of play.

The Nightstalker Hunter

Hunters can choose to play as a Nightstalker, imbued with a Void elemental super option. Called Shadowshot this bow-and-arrow attack will blast enemies will a suppressing aura, slowing all enemies caught in the blast area. It’s a shift from the previously precision focused attacks. In addition Nightstalkers will gain access to the Voidwall Grenade that puts up a horizontal wall of burning light.

A Void Hunter can also throw smoke to slow and disorient targets and Shadestep to avoid damage. Taken together and this new class will allow for more control over the battlefield. 

The Sunbreaker Titan

Sun breaker Titans are solar-powered deviators that can summon The Hammer of Sol. This flaming hammer allows the Titan to reign down fiery destruction on enemies. Terminate grenades fires a lone of fire towards enemies and the Sunstrike melee attack will ignite enemies when struck, doing damage overtime. The Fire Keeper effect allows the Hammer of Sol to last longer and provides an overshield when next to a Sunspot, although what a Sunspot is hasn’t been disclosed by Bungie.

The Stormcaller Warlock

The Warlocks can choose to join the Dark Side at last with the Stormcaller class, allowing Warlocks to blast foes with lightning. Called Stormtrance this super summons chain-lightning blasts from your hands. The storm grenade will localize a lightning storm from where it’s thrown. Thunderstrike is an new melee option that can hit targets from a longer range. Finally the Stormcaller Warlocks can use the Perpetual Charge to recharge their grenades if your melee attack kills a target, and a melee recharge if your grenade kills an enemy.
