Battlefield 6 Beta Wins Over Fans, But Glaring Flaws to be Fixed Prior to Release
Now's the time to take criticism on the chin; here's detailed feedback that DICE can't turn their eyes away from before Battlefield 6 comes out in October.

Battlefield 6's open beta started on August 9. Regardless of it being fun, it does have rough edges that DICE needs to fine-tune before official release. Battlefield 6 Beta has generated mixed reception from fans. We have to underscore the problems now for DICE to take notice during this beta period. If you want a polished game to come in October, make sure you let your voice be heard.
Battlefield 6 has a myriad of issues. Starting things off: the time to kill at close range is just a little bit too fast. That needs to be fixed. But also the time to death? You'll find yourself dying in one bullet a lot and sometimes dying around corners, which is often referred to as 'super bulleting' or dying to a super bullet, dying instantaneously. That is one issue DICE cannot leave unnoticed.

The Engineer class, in this beta, can get double launchers. They can have a stinger and a rocket launcher. Some sources have already confirmed the feature being removed; they need to make sure that Engineers cannot get double launchers. It gives them an unfair upper hand that basically is game-breaking to the rest of us.
Another issue we found troublesome was footstep audio, at least in the larger modes like Breakthrough and Conquest. Admittedly, though, you can hear them a lot better in smaller game modes like Domination. Even if opponents are right next to you, you won't have a clue at times due to the footsteps being barely audible. An improvement in the audio department is imperative.
Amongst the many issues, sniping is another polarizing feature. Long-range combat is a hallmark of the Battlefield franchise, but the sniper glint is too big. We have confirmation of that changing, but after playing with snipers and encountering snipers a lot, the snipers in Battlefield 6 need a major overhaul.
The complaint here is, in simple words, it's just too overpowered. You can accidentally one-tap someone or be on the receiving end of it. The sweet spot mechanic is not good, especially with suppression not affecting sniper accuracy. The sniper sweet spot needs to go.
Moving on to vehicles, air vehicle physics is not the best. They might have reused 2042 physics from the looks of it. They need to be revamped. On top of the air vehicles needing a complete rebalance, jets are clumsy to fly. Tanks, too, fall flat, which may be due to the acceleration.
Nobody wants tanks that are lightning fast. And on top of that, tanks' splash damage also feels overdone. On the infantry fighting vehicle, the one with the autocannon, the splash damage is overbearing. As for fighting against tanks in this game, we noticed the repair rates. The repair rate for tanks and vehicles in general might be a little bit too fast.
Visibility is possibly one of the biggest problems in the game. First of all, indoor areas can be too dark sometimes. You can run past people who are standing in a dark corner without having the slightest bit of a clue. What's more frustrating is that the game is just way too bright sometimes, especially when playing Siege of Cairo, and you're trying to look outside from being inside a building, in addition to the suppression blur that is applied to your screen, hey, good luck seeing anything.

Another thing that you may find annoying is this assault gadget called a Thermobaric Grenade Launcher. This incendiary grenade launcher, when it hits you, basically stuns you. You can't move as you're burning up, effectively making you dead meat.
The execution itself is questionable, but even more so is having an incendiary grenade launcher in the game, which is questionable in its own right, but the mechanic of keeping you stuck to the ground needs to be removed if they must have this in Battlefield 6.
On to some Assault class feedback. Shotguns are overpowered. Shotguns need to be nerfed in Battlefield 6. It should be fairly obvious to anyone who has played the beta so far. With that out of the way, now, primarily, Assault class complaints have to do with the weapon sling.
The weapon sling, which allows the assault class to have dual primary weapons, is an absolute dealbreaker; they should disable the shotgun from being equipped via the weapon sling if they plan on keeping it in the game.
Now for some game mode feedback for you and preferably DICE. Breakthrough on Liberation Peak is a work in progress; we mean that in the nicest way possible. In the first sector, you get spawn-trapped more than you would like. The sectors just don't feel really friendly or great to play in. They feel very congested sometimes, particularly the first and fourth sectors, alongside snipers making your life hell.
The performance of this game is also raising eyebrows; while yes, it's a beta, and they're most likely going to try to optimize it. A tough pill to swallow here is the fact that even on powerful hardware like the RTX 4090, you're getting frame rates of around 200. But for a DICE flagship in 2025, it's lower than expected, considering the same hardware will get you in excess of 300 FPS on Battlefield 2042. So, expect a performance optimization to be on the cards.
Smaller but still impactful issues have been noted as well. According to our judgment, the RPG's velocity might be a little bit too fast. Again, we don't know the actual statistics as to just how fast the velocity is, but it feels quite easy to hit on a consistent basis, even from afar.

A special mention to the weapon sight or weapon reticle illumination. The lack of illumination makes it difficult to see when you're aiming in bright areas. You may even die because of it. However, it is one issue that is easily fixable.
Next up, the Recon signature gadget cannot be the Tug's Motion Sensor. They are everywhere and, more importantly, do not have any distinguishable tell. So, what ends up happening is nobody destroys them. You'll find yourself wondering why people know exactly where you are, but then you look around and there's a random tug in the middle of an objective or tucked in a corner that nobody shot.
DICE needs to rethink what signature gadget is available to the Recon class. A lot of Recon's gadgets are simply too good. That seems to be a growing trend of complaints for Battlefield 6, as many of the mechanics are just too overpowered for our liking.
ADS sway while jumping/landing after a jump is clunky. We feel as if Battlefield 6 can take a page out of its predecessors' books. In Battlefield 3 and 4, the way it worked in those games is that after landing while ADS, you would have your weapon basically sway all the way down to the bottom, and then it would come and recenter itself. We hope DICE will consider a full-on redo for the ADS sway animation.
Despite the long list of issues, Battlefield 6 has a strong foundation and could become an excellent entry in the series if DICE addresses these concerns before release. We have rolled the dice; now it's DICE's turn.
