Final Fantasy XIV Surpasses a Staggering 16 Million Players

Final Fantasy XIV has come a long way from its destructive beginning. With the incredible MMO now reaching 16 million players prior to its Strombringers expansion launch.

This isn't the concurrent player count but how many players have tried the game. It's a staggering achievement that rare games achieve.

In addition, Square Enix provided new information about the upcoming charged action system, updates to likes, FATE system, new jobs, and other quality of life improvements. 

Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn takes place in the world of Hydaelyn, a planet with multiple climates and environments across 3 continents. The MMO has received several major expansions following its 2013 release, with the current being Stormblood that launched back in 2017.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers launches on July 2, 2019.
