Gears of War: E-Day Targeting 2025 Fall Release?

Xbox Game Studios and The Coalition announced Gears of War: E-Day during the 2024 Xbox Games Showcase in June. However, with only a brief cinematic trailer and no release date, many felt the third-person shooter was still a ways off. Interestingly, it may be closer than predicted.

While Gears of War: E-Day is the sixth installment in the GoW series following the story of Gears 5 or Gears 5: Hivebusters DLC. E-Day takes us back to the events preceding the original 2006 game, Gears of War (aka one of the best shooters of all time). The series' main characters, Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago, will return to deal with the terrible attack on humanity during Emergence Day.
