The Xbox One exclusive, Rise of the Tomb Raider, is a year away, but this holiday season Lara Croft fans will be able to pick up Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. Developed by Crystal Dynamics, Temple of Osiris will take place after the events of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light as Lara attempts to stop an ancient evil from enslaving all of mankind.
Set in Egypt, a rival treasure hunter named Carter Bell has beaten Lara to a hidden temple beneath the desert. Both Lara and Carter are after the Staff of Osiris but learn that the staff possesses more secrets than they knew. After removing the staff, both treasure hunters trigger a curse that infects them both and releases the evil god Set. The Son and Wife of Osiris, Horus and Isis, wake up as well, agreeing to join forces with both Lara and Carter to resurrect Osiris - the only god that can remove the curse and stop Set from enslaving humanity.
Lara will fight along side her new companions throughout the ancient tombs and across the sands. Facing gods and monsters of legend, Lara must uncover the fragments of Osiris to wake the powerful god and stop Set.
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris will support up to four player cooperative play both offline and online. Lara’s latest adventure will release on October 9, 2014 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris: Gold Edition is available for pre-order which will include the season pass, mini Lara Croft figurine, art book, and map of the overworld.
