Neverness to Everness (NTE) developer Hotta Studio and publisher Arc Games have announced that they are now recruiting for a closed beta in Macau, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Usually, for a beta test, regardless of your location, it is certainly possible to access any game and give it a go. While players from outside of China are allowed to submit applications, there is no guarantee of acceptance since this is technically a Chinese test phase.

There may be some limitations on participation in this test phase, but we're hoping that a large number of international participants can participate anyhow. Neverness to Everness needs feedback from players all around the world in the early phases of the game to help them figure out what they're doing right and where they can improve if they want to release the game and attract gamers from all over the world.

Certainly, if Chinese gamers told them what they wanted, the game might be a smash hit in China but a complete disaster elsewhere. The only way for the game to be enjoyable for everyone is to welcome Chinese and global players. Thus, instead of seeing a skewed picture of Chinese interests, you see what the rest of the global community is hoping for.

Those did know that Neverness to Everness is perhaps one of the most attractive forthcoming gacha games, and it's scheduled to be released in Q3 of 2025. We can expect many people to try to get it in any case. I believe that the impending testing phase will, to a large extent, demonstrate to many people, including myself, just how excellent the game will eventually be.

Ever since the game was announced a few months ago, we have seen an extensive number of trailers. Plus, the game appears to be quite nice from its first impression. But we can't get into a game's atmosphere and feel its mechanics, characters, animations, and fighting until we get a more in-depth look and feel for it. There needs to be more than just one trailer before we go silent for a year or two.

With fewer and fewer people looking forward to Project Mugen, Neverness to Everness has taken its place. Though Neverness to Everness may have been announced after Project Mugen had already been launched, it might have been introduced earlier, making it effectively an enhanced version of Mugen.

On a side note, Kuro Game had released an update on the Wuthering Waves Version 1.4, When the Night Knocks, and KOEI TECMO shared new details on Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land.
