Rumor: Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 3 Leaked

When it debuted Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare was greeted with a mixed reception, with some enjoying the new direction for the franchise and others annoyed by the change from RTS to a third-person shooter. Regardless, the 2 entries within the series have garnered a strong community following and it looks like another entry is on the way.

According to a comic-book description, a third entry is on the way.

Garden Warfare Returns to Neighborville! 

Paul Tobin returns to write the official comic book bridge between video games PvZ: GW2 and PvZ: GW3 with Tim Lattie returning to deliver artwork!

This isn't an official confirmation but considering that the previous game was well-received perhaps EA is looking for another installment.
