Silver Palace Promises Detective Drama, Stylish Combat, and Gacha Goodness
Unreal Engine 5-powered anime RPG blends mystery, action, and monster mayhem in a sprawling English-inspired city.

Silver Palace, Element's new anime-style action RPG, looks like it will be one of the most ambitious new gacha games. It has a deep detective story, fast-paced combat, and stylish exploration in a beautifully designed city called Sia. The game uses Unreal Engine 5 and has fantasy elements, monsters that can change forms, and open-world exploration in a mysterious, virus-infected world.
Silver Palace has a female lead character who is a detective hired to look into strange outbreaks that turn normal people into monsters. This was recently shown in trailers. The game has both fantasy and post-apocalyptic elements, as people try to live their normal lives despite the threat that is always there. Your job is to find out who is infected, how bad their cases are, and what's really causing the epidemic. This suggests that your investigation has a strong story element.
At the moment, only the city of Sia is confirmed to be an explorable area. However, it already has a large map with many ways to get around. Players can get around the city on foot, by horse (which can even fly), by car, on rooftop rails, or by using their legs. There are a lot of ways to move around in this English-style city, which suggests that it has a semi-open world structure. It's not as open as Genshin Impact, but more like Honkai: Star Rail.
Silver Palace's combat is a mix of real-time, free-roam action like in Withering Waves or Genshin Impact, with some tactical flair added. The game lets you switch between close-quarters and far-quarters combat, and it has parrying mechanics that make timing challenges like those in Breath of the Wild.
Elemental affinities are very important: characters have different colored auras and attack effects, and enemies can be filled with elements that cause reactions. This suggests that there is a deep system for interacting between elements.
Being able to switch between characters in battle is another sign of a team-based system, where the way elements and weapons work together will be important. Silver Palace is setting the stage for flashy, strategic, and fun battles with swords, greatswords, and maybe even ice or fire powers.
There are detective elements built right into the game. As a detective, you'll check the infection levels of NPCs to see how bad they are. Infected NPCs that are above a certain level need to be neutralized, which usually leads to combat. In a scene that stands out from the rest, an NPC that has a 100% infection rate turns into a horrible monster as soon as they are shot.
After being defeated, infected people are recorded in what looks like a monster index. It's not clear how this system relates to gear, relics, or progress, but it looks a lot like the faction trees in games like Infinity Nikki. As an example, you can find the "Wolf King" boss by defeating smaller monsters in his network. This suggests that there are layered, progressive boss battles that are linked to investigations.
Silver Palace adds stealth mechanics, which aren't usually found in Gacha RPGs. Players can sneak up on enemies to attack them from behind. There may be quick-time events (QTEs) that give players a chance to recover if a stealth takedown fails.
It's not clear how widespread stealth will be—whether it will only be in dungeon-like areas or as part of open exploration—but adding it adds another layer of variety to the game. Silver Palace is different from other gacha games because it combines stealth, investigation, and freeform combat. This combination might appeal to people who aren't usually into auto-battle games.
Even though Silver Palace is advertised as a gacha game, they haven't shown any actual gacha mechanics yet. We don't know how to buy units, whether they will be characters, weapons, costumes, or something else, or how to make money. The trailers only give you a small taste of the main gameplay loop, which includes exploring, fighting, traveling, and moving the story forward.
"You can't escape your fate unless you're the author" is a quote from the end of one trailer that suggests the main character is more than just a detective. Their role may have metaphysical or divine undertones, which could explain why they're the best people to solve the problem.
Though there isn't a set release date, most people think it will happen in 2026 or even 2027. Still, the English trailers for the game already have full voice acting, which suggests that work on it may be further along than it looks. For now, only a few trailers, including gameplay and cinematic teasers, are available, with more expected as development progresses.
