The Surge 2 will expand on the first title's limb targeting system.

In our review of The Surge, Adam found it to be "an excellent and challenging action-adventure RPG that will test even the most hardened gamer.". It's good then that Focus Home Interactive have announced that their partnership with developer Deck13 was renewed, and The Surge 2 is slated for a 2019 release. The sequel will take place in a new environment, "a sprawling, devastated city with larger and more ambitious level design, made possible by Deck13’s upgraded and improved engine."
The Surge 2 will expand upon the first title's limb targeting system while adding new weapons, implants and drones for players to use against the new foes they will face. The Surge 2 will release on PC and Consoles in 2019. Have a look at the full announcement.
