Help, spare, and interact with these mysterious beings to earn some of the game's most powerful rewards.

Expedition 33 is filled with secrets, but this time, you're not hunting hidden paths or smashing false walls. Instead, you're making friends with the enemy and stepping into the shoes of some Nevrons. White Nevrons aren't out to destroy you like most of the Paintress's creations.

There are nine in total, and each requires a slightly different approach. If you do exactly what each Nevron asks and walk away peacefully without killing them, you'll be rewarded with an insanely powerful prize.

Spring Jar – Healing Tint Shard

In Spring Jar Meadows, you'll find the first White Nevron. This one has lost its light and doesn't seem keen on finding it. From the abandoned expedition camp flag, head into the next area. There are patrolling enemies, so be careful.

Drop down into the gully and under the bridge, and on the right side, you'll find a quest item called Resin. Take this back to the Jar and thank it. If you're not paying attention to the dialogue, you might miss the final step.

You must shoot the top of Jar's lamppost staff using free aim. This ignites it. Speak to Jar again, and you'll be rewarded with a healing tint shard. Don't sleep on these, especially early on. An extra heal close to the beginning of the game could be a real lifesaver.

Demineur – Lightning Weapon for Lune

Once you reach Flying Waters, you can find the second White Nevron, a floating demon longing for its lost balloon—or, more accurately, its highly explosive mine. Start at the Noco's Hut expedition flag. Move through the next area with the massive anchor. Inside the cave to the right, you'll find Demineur. Do not attack him.

Continue through the graveyard of floating mines until you find an intact mine item. Loop back to Demineur and return the mine. You'll be rewarded with a powerful early-game lightning weapon for Lune – Deminerim that scales well even into the endgame.

Hexga – Auto Shell Picto

In Stonewave Cliffs, head to the old farm expedition flag or the tide caverns. Before entering the cave, you'll encounter a white Hexga half-submerged in the ground. Interact with it, and it'll tell you about its envy of shinier Hexga and its looming mental collapse. In the tidal cavern, locate three shining rocks.

Two can be broken with First Strike to obtain crystals. The third is guarded by a Rocher enemy you must defeat. Bring all three crystals back to the white Hexga, and you'll receive the Auto Shell Picto. When equipped, it applies a shell for three turns at the start of the battle—perfect early-game defense.

Bourgeon – Color of Lumina

To find the white Bourgeon Nevron, head to the small Bourgeon zone accessible after Flying Waters. Talk to the small Bourgeon and learn its wish to grow. If you've already defeated a Bourgeon, you'll have the required quest item: Bourgeon skin.

If not, find one in Stonewave Cliffs or Flying Waters. Gift the item to the small Bourgeon, then leave and re-enter the zone. It will have grown into a full-size Bourgeon and will reward you—not with much, just a color of Lumina, but better than nothing.

Benisseur – Recovery Picto

An optional zone you can reach early on is the Redwoods, found far west of the Ancient Sanctuary in an area filled with red trees. Inside, you'll find an odd fountain. Interact with it and toss in 5,000 chroma.

Then again with 10,000, then 25,000, and finally 50,000. After sacrificing 90,000 chroma in total, a Benisseur will appear. Your reward is the Recovery Picto, which restores 10% of health at the start of a turn. When used as a Picto, it also increases health and defense—a powerful utility.

Troubadour – Healing Parry Picto

Once you clear the Forgotten Battlefield, you'll unlock access to a new region. Northeast of the exit is the Stone Quarry, where you'll find the white Troubadour Nevron. To help it, you must reignite its passion for music. Interact, and you'll enter a unique combat trial.

The Troubadour fires green and orange orbs. Dodge the orange ones like normal attacks. Catch the green ones to heal. After a few rounds, the Troubadour is inspired by your performance and rewards you with the Healing Parry Picto. This restores 3% of your HP every time you parry and offers solid health and defense stats.

Portier – Protecting Heal Picto

West of Old Lumiere lies the Esoteric Ruins. Inside this zone is a white Nevron known as the Portier. Initially, you'll only see a floating blue orb. Converse with it and keep progressing until you reach a maze with pillars arranged in a 3x3 grid. Each has orange and yellow orbs that open and close light barriers.

It's more of a memory puzzle, and while multiple solutions may exist, here's one that works: in the first row, shoot the middle orb, then the right, then the left. Move to the second row and shoot the left orb twice. That should open your path. Collect the quest item "wood boards" and return to the spirit.

Upon delivery, the spirit reveals its form and rewards you with the Protecting Heal Picto, which grants a shell to any healed character and also boosts health and speed.

Chalier – Auto Powerful Picto

After defeating the Paintress and unlocking fly with Esquie, you can visit the Floating Cemetery, located far west on the world map. Inside is a lonely Chalier, one of the armored Nevrons. You choose one of three weapons, which determines the version of the Chalier you'll fight.

After defeating it, the dialogue continues. Choose to honor Chalier's wish and end its life. Doing so earns you the Auto Powerful Picto. This grants three turns of Powerful at battle start. If used as a Physical Picto, it also grants massive speed and critical bonuses.

Danseuse – Lune Outfit

Upon reaching level 60, you gain access to Frozen Hearts, a massive zone past Monoco's Station. From the Icebound Train Station expedition flag, head straight, then left, and enter a small cave. Use a golden rope to ascend, then follow a path and drop down to find the Danseuse Nevron.

She asks you for a dance. As Lune, you must parry 15 consecutive attacks without missing. If you succeed, you're rewarded with a special and stylish Lune outfit. Speak to the Danseuse again, and she'll ask for a final dance. To complete her questline, make sure she stays alive.

Blanche – 100 Color of Lumina

Once you've completed all White Nevron quests and spared each one, you'll gain access to an optional zone close to the beginning of the game—only reachable by flying. Ignore the Red Portal.

Inside is a single Nevron named Blanche. Speak to Blanche, who will comment on your mercy and dedication. If you helped all nine White Nevrons and didn't kill any of them, you'll be rewarded with an astonishing 100 colors of Lumina. This reward unlocks some of the most powerful endgame tools available.
