According to Eurogamer the ASA is a self-regulating agency for the UK's advertising industry. After an overwhelming amount of complaints regarding Hello Games' space exploration game. The investigation will require not only Hello Games but Valve to explore the alleged misrepresentation of the game.

Sony Studios President Shuhei Yoshida stated "I understand some of the criticisms especially Sean Murray is getting, because he sounded like he was promising more features in the game from day one...It wasn't a great PR strategy, because he didn't have a PR person helping him, and in the end he is an indie developer" stated earlier this month to Eurogamer.

This isn't the first time a game came under scrutiny, Aliens: Colonial Marines was investigated for falsely advertising the game at shows like PAX and E3.

No Man's Sky is now available for PS4 and PC.
