Whispering Willows releases on Ouya next week, Steam to follow in June.

If you're one of the lucky ones, or if you're a pessimist, unlucky ones, to own the shiny microconsole called Ouya, it's time to dust it off. That's right, go to the black hole that is your closet, find some batteries for that fancy controller and plug your Ouya in - all in preparation for Whispering Willows.
Night Light Interactive's horror puzzle game, Whispering Willows, was successfully funded on Kickstarter in March 2013, raising over $20,000, and passed through Steam Greenlight a year later. With an ample 750 backers, the game will be available on Ouya, PC, Mac and Linux.
The games' young protagonist, Elena, possesses a supernatural power wherein she can cast her spirit outside of her body. This impressive skill allows Elena to interact with ghosts and navigate to otherwise impossible areas of the mysterious, spooky house that is Willows Estate. She makes her way through the estate, solving puzzles, manipulating time and fighting off evil spirits - all in the hopes of locating her missing father.
In a May 19 press release, Night Light Interactive revealed that Whispering Willows will release on Ouya May 27 and on Steam June 17. From the game's Steam page, it appears the game will cost $10, however, the press release did not confirm the pricing.
It's fun to be impulsive, but you do have the option of checking out Whispering Willows before you buy it. Here's the release trailer, and hey, you can play the demo too. Supporting indie devs is usually an awesome idea, and Whispering Willows is looking good. In the words of Senior Editor Daav, "Good girl. Doing it right." Yup, indie games. We love them.
