Absolum Guide | How to Reach Yeldrim

When you begin your first run in Absolum, you might assume that the game consists of three main regions — the Grandery, Jaroba, and Asterios, which serves as the final area and the domain of Sun King Azra. 

However, if you look closely at the world map, you may notice an unmarked, detailed area. This hidden section is the secret fourth region known as Yeldrim.

How To Reach Yeldrim

After progressing through the early areas of Absolum, your first step toward accessing Yeldrim begins once you defeat the major boss of the Grandery, the Underking. When the Underking is defeated, you’ll arrive at a pier where Zafari offers to ferry you across the water to Jaroba, which normally serves as your path to the second region.

If you want to unlock Yeldrim, talk to Zafari on the boat and pick the choice to go to Jaroba. During most runs, this will get you to where you want to go, but after a few good completions, the path might take you to Yeldrim instead. 

This change will be clear when a purple mist starts to circle the ship, showing you the new way to get there. This transition appears to occur randomly, though it tends to happen after a few runs of reaching the pier.

Initially, it might seem that playing as Brome influences this event, but repeating the process as Galandra shows that the outcome isn’t tied to a specific character. Once you visit Yeldrim for the first time, you’ll also receive a trophy marking your discovery.

After your first visit, you gain the ability to select Yeldrim as a travel option whenever you speak to Zafari on the boat. Reaching it again still depends on chance, but once unlocked, it becomes a selectable region alongside Jaroba, allowing more control over your destination.

About Yeldrim

Yeldrim is a more demanding region than Jaroba, offering greater challenges and rewards. Within this area, you’ll uncover a side quest that connects closely to the world’s lore. In addition, Yeldrim holds two of the most powerful Rituals in the game, as well as several notable boss encounters that test your progress and preparation.

Although reaching Yeldrim requires patience and multiple runs, exploring it becomes an important part of Absolum’s progression. The area contains key elements that contribute to both gameplay depth and overall completion, making it a region worth returning to once you’ve gained enough experience through earlier stages.
