Early in Absolum, you can turn a quiet beach into a surprise boss arena. A huge dragon skeleton in the background is not just decoration. With one simple gesture, you can wake Hagen The Spectral Doom and start a secret, optional fight.

Finding The Dragon Skeleton

From the main hub, take the upper path at the top of the screen and follow it toward the beach. Keep moving until you reach a screen where a massive dragon skeleton stretches across the background, its bones scattered over sand and rock.

When you see this large carcass behind you, stay in this area and defeat every enemy until the stage transition prompt appears, but do not leave.

Triggering Hagen The Spectral Doom

After clearing the arena, stand near the dragon remains and hold your inventory button, usually the left bumper, to open the gesture menu. While holding it, press down to perform the thumbs down gesture.

This rude motion wakes the dragon, turning the background corpse into Hagen The Spectral Doom, a powerful spectral boss. The battle is fully optional and not tied to achievements, but beating Hagen The Spectral Doom adds a memorable secret challenge to your early time in Absolum.
