Alan Wake 2 Guide | All Collectibles Locations in Return 3: Local Girl

In Alan Wake 2's third adventure from the Saga, "Return 3: Local Girl," you can discover all manner of things like Koskela advertisements, nursery rhyme riddles, cult caches, charms, and lunch boxes. These leftovers can be seen lying around Bright Falls, Watery, and Coffee World, rewarding you and equipping you with lore. This guide will outline where you can find them step by step.

Bright Falls Collectibles

The first Koskela Commercial is seen when you leave the building when the chapter starts. It is hard to miss it since it starts playing automatically. Another Commercial can be seen in the one-block over diner. Collect those and proceed towards your car. Head towards Watery, where the main part of the mission begins.

Watery Collectibles

After arriving at Watery, head over the street to a café. In the café, over towards the left side, is the Watery Map collectible. Follow the track from here through the first Nursery Rhyme Problem, which involves putting the Moose Doll onto the tree. This problem rewards you with a charm that you can find beside the newly spawned moose statue farther along the road.

Continuing along the route, you will also discover the two dolls, Deer and Moose, for you to collect before you tackle the next nursery rhyme riddle. In the area is also the cult stash you can find by navigating around the route towards the high ground. This stash has you playing the recallable light flash recall.

Another cult hide is next to the building, and by using code 527, you will obtain the Crossbow Weapon, and you will unlock a trophy for this. Another challenge from the nursery rhyme is solved by placing the Deer Doll onto the house before you use the bridge. Completing this challenge rewards you with another charm, this one being next to the dear carcass where you battle the wolves.

Lunchboxes and cult caches

Lunch boxes can also be found all over the territory, generally around landmarks or corners. One is located beyond the radio tower, and the other is north of Coffee World before you reach the Ranger Cabin. However, some areas can't be accessed due to the floods, resulting in the necessity of visiting twice when the waters recede.

Shoot any cardboard cutouts around Coffee World for winning rewards. One cult stash is located next to the store where one is now by the ride called the Slow Roaster and can be opened using the code 147. Another cult stash is finding one stash key near one gazebo before one well where the stash can be opened.

Lighthouse and Trailer Park Collectibles

At the Lighthouse Trailer Park, the very next one from the left is the next lunch box and Koskela Commercial. To access this, return here after the main boss battle and explore the previously submerged sector. This will lead you to the next cult stash, where you will need the key you find nearby.

At the fish cleansing stall, pick up the Wise Elder and the Bears Dolls, followed by the Mother and the Child Dolls from the bench nearby. These are for solving the nursery rhyme challenge towards the far side of the pier, where the Wise Elder is placed upon the waves and the Bear upon the candy for the next charm.

Final Collectibles and Backtracking

 

The Trickster Doll is located at the Lighthouse, where you find another nursery rhyme challenge after reaching it. This challenge requires you to put the Trickster Doll on the waves and the Wise Elder on the eyeball. To gain the prize, you need to complete an arrow puzzle challenge that opens up the cult storehouse.

One last lunch box is next to the break room, by the edge of the cliff. The Lighthouse charm is in a side area beneath the trees. In Coffee World, the next challenge for the nursery rhyme is by the Latte Lagoon, where you need to set the Moose, Trickster, and Deer Dolls onto the waves, gems, and the boat, respectively. The Mr. Dippy Charm is floating around nearby.

The Ranger Cabin is revealed after the floods subside and includes the Maiden and the Monster Dolls, the latter required for the next garden challenge. Placing the Maiden Doll under the tree and the Bear Doll under the heart will unlock the access path to the FBC Charm, which can be found in the cabin upstairs.

The final challenge for the nursery rhyme is in the building right next to the Watery city center. To complete the challenge, place the Maiden and the Trickster Dolls onto the house and baubles. Coffee Mug Charm is the prize, and it was placed in the local mailbox. The final cult stash, placed in the southeast territory corner, is behind the bins and is opened by the code 496, and this completes the Return 3: Local Girl collectible set.
