Alan Wake 2 Guide | All Collectibles Locations in Return 2: The Heart

Collected items are important in Alan Wake 2 to enhance gameplay by providing valuable upgrades, charms, and weapons benefits. All collection locations within Return 2: The Heart are outlined here, including inventory upgrade locations, cult stash locations, nursery rhyme puzzles, and charms.

Sawed-Off Shotgun Inventory Upgrade

Begin by traveling to the General Store early in the chapter to begin collecting your first upgrade to your inventory. It is located on top of a filing cabinet within a room after shooting your first enemy encounter. The Sawed-Off Shotgun rests on top of this cabinet, a potent gun locked within its case. 

You can unlock it by using the code 739. After collecting it, follow through on the next part of your narrative, reaching your next boss fight that will reward you with a trophy upon its defeat.

Cult Stash and Inventory Upgrade

The boss fight will make water flood through your surroundings, allowing you to pass through to your right, reaching your next objective. The flooding part of your surroundings will clear, allowing your next move through to your right, reaching your next objective, allowing your next move through to your right, reaching your next objective. The second part of your upgrade is located within your second cult stash.

Streamside Stash Key and Cult Stash

To unlock your next cult stash, begin by finding your next key, which is called your Streamside Stash Key. The key is hidden within your darker surroundings, where your rock contains your key. Make your way around your surroundings by crossing to your right. Find your next tall post where your next flashing red or white point is located. The stockpile is no longer locked by using your next pattern.

Nursery Rhyme Puzzle: Crow Doll and Charm

A Crow Doll can also be seen on a picnic table set to the west of the house. The doll is part of the challenge of nursery rhymes. Browse through the hint within the region and move Crow Doll to the top-left sun spot on the challenge. 

Completion of this challenge will give you a reward of a charm, dropped after challenge completion. Don't forget to pick up a doll after the challenge is completed, as it will be helpful for the next challenge of nursery rhymes.

Nursery Rhyme Challenge: Hero and Wolf Dolls

Go to Witchfinder Station, to the north of the previous task. Inside, move upstairs to see two new dolls: Hero Doll and Wolf Doll. After taking up the dolls, move out of the building to see the next challenge of this type. 

For this challenge, set Hero Doll on the boat and Wolf Doll on the tree. After its completion, a reward will appear upstairs within Witchfinder Station. Move back to take your Coffee Charm, which is helpful after death and also opens up a trophy.

Lunchbox Behind House

Find behind the house, by Witchfinder Station, on the ground along the left wall of the cliff, a Lunch Box. Lunch boxes of Alan Wake 2 have resources within, so take them whenever possible.

Nursery Rhyme Challenge with Crow, Hero, and Wolf Doll

Another Nursery Rhyme Channel is also hidden behind a right-handed tree. You will need three of your newly acquired dolls to use to unravel this riddle. The Crow Doll is atop the chicken or egg, the Hero atop the heart, and the Wolf atop the house. Pick up your solved riddle and grab your prize of a charm. The charm is next to a giant tree, along with a birdhouse on the ground.

Cult Cache Behind the Private Cabin

Behind the Private Cabin, follow the path leading uphill to arrive at the next cult cache. You can use password 658 to unlock it. The caches have useful items, hence making it worthwhile to keep your eyes on them.

Lunch Box by The Stream

The final gathering of this chapter is also a Lunch Box. Follow the stream near the Private Cabin until you reach its end; that's where the lunch box can be found. Pick it up to complete all collectibles for this chapter before moving on to the next.
