Alan Wake 2 Guide | All Collectibles Locations in Return 1: Invitation

In Alan Wake 2, collectibles play a crucial role in expanding the lore and unlocking rewards. The first chapter after the prologue is Return 1: Invitation, and there is everything here, ranging from charms, maps, lunch boxes, and cult hoard to skippable advert. The guide below contains the exact locations of each of them to make sure that you do not skip anything.

Logan's Charm

The Logan's Charm is rewarded automatically to you on initiation of the chapter. You can view it by clicking on the triangle button to view the gears menu. The charm is seen but is rewarded through the script.

Cauldron Lake Map

As you advance through the chapter, you will see the Cauldron Lake Map that will reward a trophy in its collection. Maps are helpful for using around the region to point out areas of interest.

Lunch Box Locations

There are 21 Lunch Boxes scattered throughout the game, including plenty here. The first Lunch Box is seen by taking a detour off of the main track. Don't stay on straight, but follow your partner along and turn right to round up around a brief track. The detour will leave off to a hidden lunchbox.

The second Lunch Box is around the General Store, where you pass on your path to the crime scene. Don't stay straight to your objective, but take your time to turn around on the leeward of the store on your right hand along the track to its end, where there is a second lunch box waiting.

As you journey to the killing point, move west, followed by north. But first, make your detour to the south to a campground. Don't follow your partner; move around backward to find another Lunch Box in this region.

There is also one closer to the Witch Hut. You’ll see a bridge to your house's left. Cross it, and on its far edge is a chair. The Lunch Box is to the right of that chair.

There is also possibly one next to a radar dish-topped metal building that is only accessed after opening its entrance using a key. When proceeding along your road, you'll see that building on your horizon. Don't proceed straight, but move around behind it and climb up onto a ledge to find yet another hidden Lunch Box.

The Final Lunch Box of this part can also be found within Bright Falls, a town that is notorious for its use of too much of that beverage called coffee. Before proceeding on into the diner to move on to your next big endeavor, cross onto its street to that little park that contains a gazebo. A tree is behind and to your right of that gazebo. A second Lunch Box is on its base.

One of the cult hideaways within Return 1: Invitation is where a killing occurs. South of that is a house where you can find the combination to unlock its stash of supplies. Inside is a set of symbols that need to be paired up to unlock that container. The hideaways have valuable things within, making them worthwhile to search out.

Bright Falls Map

While touring around Bright Falls, there is possibly a Bright Falls Map on the rear diner wall. It makes traveling around simpler and puts things into context concerning how things are organized around here.

Sheriff's Station Map

Upon completing missions within the diner, you will finally make your way to the sheriff's station. The Sheriff's Station Map on the back wall is also key to collecting information about how things are organized around here.

Koskela Brothers Commercial (Missable)

The Koskela Brother Commercial: Adventure Tours is one of very few of the chapter's missables. The commercial is only temporarily visible and will no longer appear after making your way through the first of the game's chapters. 

It can only be acquired by accessing the TV within the sheriff's station. Missing out on it will mean that it is no longer possible to acquire it, so grab it on your way out.
