Animal Crossing: New Horizons Guide | Brewster and The Roost

Brewster, the pigeon mixologist, has been officially added to the Animal Crossing: New Horizons roster as part of the significant 2.0 update. Brewster is the proprietor of The Roost, a café situated within the museum of your island. How to Unlock The Cafe and Brewster

Brewster can be unlocked by following a few simple procedures.

First and foremost, you must serve as the island's Resident Representative. The following is Nintendo's definition of that role:

The Resident Representative is the initial user to initiate the Animal Crossing: New Horizons game on their Nintendo Switch system and relocate to a new island. To achieve certain milestones, only the Resident Representative can accomplish specific tasks when playing with multiple residents on a single island.

Then, you will need to attend Blathers in the museum. During your initial visit following the installation of the 2.0 update, Blathers will be depicted with a thought bubble above his head. Upon conversing with him, he will express his desire to devise a strategy for increasing the number of museum visitors and to incorporate a café.

Regrettably, his former acquaintance Brewster, who operated a coffee store, has since closed his establishment and vanished. Blathers requests that you locate Brewster, and his sole recommendation is that he find gyroids quite enjoyable.

Go on an island tour with Kapp'n

Although gyroids have not yet begun to manifest on your island, the island's most recent attraction, Kapp'n's boat excursions, provides an indication. Isabelle initially mentions these in her announcements upon loading the game; however, you will need to proceed to the pier that was previously vacant, typically situated on the left or right side of your island, to locate Kapp'n.

In exchange for 1,000 Nook Miles, Kapp'n will provide you with a daily tour of an uninhabited island. Kapp'n accepts wireless payments, so there is no need to purchase a ticket. Purchase your initial ticket, and you are off!

Find Brewster

It should not require much effort to locate a pigeon in a cap and polo when you reach your initial uninhabited island, following a delightful sea shanty serenade from Kapp'n. Brewster is exploring the same island in search of gyroids. Additionally, he will provide you with your initial gyroid fragment and provide instructions on how to plant and hydrate it. Upon your delivery of Blathers' message, he will consent to visit your island and request that you inform him of his acceptance of his invitation.

Go Back to the Museum

The most critical step in securing Brewster occurs upon your return, even though the gyroid is a delightful gift. Return to visit Blathers on the same day, and he will be delighted. He will inform you that the museum must close to facilitate the expansion, and Brewster and the Roost will be accessible the day after tomorrow. The museum will be closed entirely the day following your conversation with Blathers, and The Roost will reopen the following morning.

What Can You Do At The Roost

Brewster will provide you with a complimentary cup of coffee upon the shop's opening. You may promptly take a seat on a counter stool. Occasionally, other visitors will be seated adjacent to your stool, enjoying their cup. You have the option of engaging in conversation with them or simply settling in next to them.

Brewster's alternatives are initially restricted. A cup of coffee is available for purchase for 200 chimes. Brewster's approval is contingent upon your immediate consumption of the coffee, as he requests. Subsequently, you will rise from the stool and proceed on your journey. After three consecutive days of consistent coffee consumption, you will be permitted to take your coffee to-go.

How To Invite Other Characters To Roost

Using amiibo or amiibo cards, it is possible to summon characters to join you at The Roost. Navigate to the yellow phone located on the left-hand side of the café and utilize it to input your preferred characters. Diverse individuals may attend, contingent upon whom you invite.
