Animal Crossing New Horizons has many returning villagers and a few special characters. Villagers can move into your village or stay there completely. This guide will show you how to invite villagers and make them stay permanently.

Use Amiibo Cards To Get Villagers To Visit Your Island

Initially, you will require the amiibo card of the character you wish to reside on your island. Regrettably, the special holographic cards and their corresponding figures will not function since the characters on them are already playing significant roles in the game and cannot be islanders.

Additionally, the campsite on your island must be accessible and constructed. If it is not, you will need to continue to advance the primary duties with Tom Nook until it is.

Subsequently, proceed to the Nook Stop terminal in Resident Services and select "Invite a Camper." The 'a' in the command is an amiibo logo, which is a clever addition. After scanning the amiibo card, you will extend an invitation to remain at your campsite. Despite the fact that they have likely never encountered you before, they consent to attend without delay.

How to Get Your Villagers To Stay Permanently

After a few attempts (or potentially the first) of conversing with them again, they will begin to question whether they should not relocate to your island as a permanent residence. You can motivate them to do so.

Regrettably, they will not be entirely impressed by your offer and will instead request an invitation to camp again before making any hasty decisions. You will then need to wait until the following day and repeat the exact same process of inviting them with the amiibo, selecting their preferred item, and persuading them to remain once more.

They will request to invite you over for a third time, and it is time to wait until the following day once more and repeat the entire process. Once you have provided them with their third item and persuaded them to remain, they will proceed to Resident Services to consult with Tom Nook regarding this matter. Fortunately, this is the final obstacle.

This is the point at which we suggest that you have a vacant plot of land available, as it will simplify the entire process. If there is insufficient space, you can evict an existing resident, but this action is not wholly moral.
