ARK: Survival Ascended has added a new underground region on the Ragnarok map that brings Aberration-style gameplay to familiar land. This guide will help you find these Biomes filled with lots of resources to farm.

Finding the Aberration Zone
Finding the entrance to this biome is simple once you know where to search. Go to the coordinates 17.3° and 42.9°.
Once you enter the cave, which might appear small at first, but once you enter inside, you'll realize that it has been entirely remodeled into a much larger structure.
The entrance is accessible by running to the cave entrance. Special equipment or preparations are not required in order to enter the first area, meaning that you can enter the cave even if you are pretty low-leveled.

Zone Features and Environment
The moment you step inside, you will notice the Aberration-type environment. The zone contains the usual Fungal Mushroom theme common with Aberration regions. This underground network is a total rework of what was initially called the swamp cave system.
The area is basically a non-aberrant version of Aberration environments, so you get the visual nicety and resourcefulness without some of the more challenging aberrant creature variations.
The developers have also stretched out the original mushroom swamp caves and turned them into a larger Aberration-style area that includes a massive network beneath the mountain.
The zone contains a nice variety of the creatures you'll see on your trek. Karkinos (the crab-like) spawn in clumps all over the zone, and a few of the higher-level ones are level 140 and higher. The creatures are tameable, so they're well worth having in your menagerie.
You'll also observe Megalania climbing walls and ceilings and Megalosaurus, which are daytime sleepers. Interestingly, although the environment has an Aberration theme, the creatures are not aberrant counterparts; therefore, they're easier to tame and handle than their aberrant variants.

Resources Availability
The most noticeable thing in this region is the amount of available resources.
Metal nodes are scattered all across the cave system, in numbers others might label as staggering. You have metal deposits coming at you from around every bend, and the place is ideally suited for mass-scale resource extraction operations.
Obsidian is another common resource you'll find, in addition to Crystal formations within the network.
Having these two top resources simultaneously makes this place very lucrative, so you'll definitely want to loot and have a robust resource foundation.
Hidden Areas and Exploration
The cave has many concealed hideaways and alcoves that also offer construction areas alongside other resources. The little rooms and side passages branching off the central system will help you build a concealed base if you want to stay out of PvP.
Some places are naturally illuminated with light sources on available pieces of land, but not all locations are possible due to ground constraints.
One of the most beneficial features of this region is that it has a nice Silica Pearl cave network.

This allows you to farm lots of Silica Pearls, another resource potential in your exploration operations.
