Obsidian Entertainment is well known within the realm of RPGs, and Avowed, an action role-playing title under the banner of Xbox Game Studios, is their most recent ambitious project. The game gives you a wide variety of weapons to wield, but there are a few of the lot that stand out. This guide will walk you through how you can get your hands on these five weapons.
Dawn and Winter
Dawn and Winter is a melee weapon that is wielded in one hand. It resembles a tomahawk or axe. It comes with the Rising Chill enchantment; this enchantment adds an additional 10% bonus for frost damage to attacks.
To get your hands on this weapon, follow the path shown on the map, and upon picking it up, be prepared for enemies to appear; defeat them to secure Dawn and Winter.
Last Light of Day
This is a unique flaming sword that comes with the Golden Sun's Ascent enchantment; this enchantment restores up to 3% of maximum health upon killing an enemy. The Dawn Remembrance adds a 10% bonus for fire damage to hits.
To get your hands on this weapon, you'll need to start a questline called "The Dawn Strider" by interacting with an NPC outside of the Aedyran Embassy, sitting on a bench. The quest then requires you to look for a missing expedition team.
Along the way, Sargamis will ask you for help in retrieving a relic. Once you've completed the relic task and progressed through the quest, you can obtain the sword by either defeating Sargamis or continuing to help him out.
Sheathed in Summer
This is a one-handed melee dagger with the Glimmering Ember enchantment. This enchantment causes full combo attacks to deal a decent amount of fire damage, and the Burning Lash enchantment adds another 10% bonus fire damage to hits.
To get your hands on this weapon, head to the marked location on the map, and there, you'll need to defeat a miniboss named Octave the Firebrand. The dagger can be found on his body upon his death.
Seven Strivings
This is a powerful two-handed melee weapon that comes with the Determined Step enchantment. This enchantment grants you a 15% increase in movement speed for 10 seconds and a 5% critical hit chance boost after killing an enemy.
To get your hands on this weapon, you'll need to head to the location on the map. You'll need to defeat a mini-boss called Raglar the Unyielding. You will find the weapon behind his body in a cave system. It is possible to avoid fighting the miniboss and simply retrieve the weapon.
Caeroc's Pride
This is a one-handed ranged pistol with the Distant Thunder enchantment; this particular enchantment causes your power attacks to deal high shock damage. The Shocking Lash enchantment adds a 10% bonus shock damage as well.
To get your hands on this weapon, you'll need to travel to the marked location on the map and defeat a boss called Tempestuous Luandi. The pistol drops as loot once you're done with the battle.
These five unique weapons are excellent choices for early-game progression in Avowed. Each weapon offers powerful enchantments and can be upgraded to legendary status, making them valuable tools for overcoming challenges.
