This guide will show you how to unlock the Orchard and get a permanent upgrade in Blue Prince, starting every day with 20 extra steps. You can complete this process as early as you start the game for a quick and easy buff.

Finding Your Way to the Orchard Puzzle

From the entrance room, you turn around and head down the driveway through the gate. As you continue, you will come to a campsite where you can interact with several items.

There are many things for you to find here, including clues for puzzles. At the end of the walkway, you discover the gate to the orchard puzzle, which requires a four-digit code to proceed.

Gathering the Required Items

You need to obtain a couple of items to uncover the code on your own. First, you draft a dark room and then a utility box, turning the lights on in the dark room. Next, you need to get a little bit lucky or use the coat check to acquire a magnifying glass.

Deciphering the Code

Using the magnifying glass on a picture of the Orchard, you can locate a heart with a date. That date is 11-28; fortunately, it is the same for everyone. Once you input this code, you can open the door and unlock the apple orchard.

Inside the Orchard

Within the Orchard, you will find a book containing information about green rooms. Additionally, a gas valve is used for a different permanent upgrade, allowing you to expect to start every run with 70 steps.
