Cloudheim combines combat, crafting, and base flow into one loop. If you treat it like a survival title, you will spend time on systems that do not move progression forward.

Choosing Class

You don't have a set class. The weapon you take changes the part you play. You become a Ranger right away if you craft a hammer after starting as a Ranger. Changing roles is acceptable. Instead of choosing a role too early, you should focus on crafting and testing weapons.

Core Mechanics

You do not manage hunger, weather effects, or item loss on death. When you are defeated, your items remain with a ghost and can be recovered in Cloudheim.

The main goal is to travel to an island, defeat enemies, collect resources, and return to the Odin Shell. Base structures exist to support gear upgrades and unlock paths to new areas. You do not need to plan housing or long-term layouts because your base is mobile.

Base and Resource Management

At the start, you move resources yourself. Blins unlock later, but early progress depends on manual handling. The resource loop follows a set order. You return from an island and place raw ore into the Cleansing Pool, where three corrupted ores become one clean ore.

You carry clean ore to the Smelter to create bars. Bars are taken to the Forge for crafting. Items you do not need should be placed on the Sales Table to increase the shop level.

You should place these stations close to the Bifrost Gate. Distance increases the time spent carrying items, slowing progress. Layout choices should focus on access and movement within Cloudheim.

Combat

Each role is tied to weapon use. The Breaker uses axes and hammers and focuses on impact attacks. The Ranger uses paired weapons, such as katanas or kama, and relies on mobility and chained strikes.

The Runeblade uses magic attacks and healing abilities, which places responsibility on you during group play. The Sentinel uses shields and focuses on blocking, control, and positioning enemies.

Combat relies on physics systems. You are expected to use actions that launch, pull, push, and slam enemies. Repeating basic attacks limits damage output in Cloudheim.

You can pull enemies toward you, kick them into terrain, or push them off ledges. Damage from terrain ignores armor. Objects such as barrels, bombs, and structures are intended for use in combat. Positioning and timing matter more than repeating attacks.

Environmental Interactions

You should mine all visible resource nodes, especially black stone deposits in Arcadia, which provide Tin and Copper. Early progression, including the quest given by Wren, requires a large amount of Crude Tin Ore.

You should not store unused items on the base. Storage is limited, and selling items increases the shop level. Higher shop levels unlock structures that generate resources over time in Cloudheim.

You need to manage Mana Burn. Repeated ability use fills this meter. When it reaches its limit, movement slows, and abilities cannot be used. You should plan to avoid this state.

You should break things in the world whenever you can. Walls, containers, and buildings drop resources when they are broken. Ignoring them makes it harder to progress.

Game Progression and Keys

Fighting, crafting, and doing other things raise your experience points. As you explore, you can find Corrupted Heart Fragments that will make your health better.

It takes three pieces to make a Heart Piece, and three Heart Pieces will permanently increase your health. To progress, these things must be addressed regularly.

You need world stars to open the new islands. They are not consumed and serve as access conditions. You can get them by completing quests and going through dungeons. To get past Arcadia, you need to find these things in Cloudheim.
