Deltarune Guide | How to Find the Secret Egg in Chapter 5

Find the hidden Egg room by clearing the wheat field, following the balloon, and solving the Annoying Dog flower puzzle.

The Secret Egg in Deltarune Chapter 5 is easy to miss because the route begins in a normal-looking wheat field. Start from the Cliffside Shop area, then head right toward the patch of wheat. Clear the enemies hiding in the field and continue until you reach the Torii Gate dash section. This part sets up the hidden route, so do not leave the area once the wheat is cleared.

Make the Balloon Appear

After passing through the dash section, return to the wheat path and keep cutting every stalk. A single stalk will keep growing back near the middle of the track. Trample that returning stalk several times until a small blue balloon appears. Once it floats away, follow it left instead of continuing forward. The balloon leads Kris into a strange room that is separate from the normal Chapter 5 path.

Solve the Egg Room Puzzle

Inside the hidden room, Kris finds six flowers and the Annoying Dog tied to a balloon. Watch the order in which the dog moves between the flowers, then interact with the flowers in that same order. The pattern is not worth guessing, because leaving the room can force you to reload and repeat the setup. Keep your focus on the dog and move as soon as it changes position.

When the Watering Can appears in the center, wait until the Annoying Dog is away from the left-side path. Grab the can and water the faded plants on the left before the dog catches up. Water one clear route instead of trying to cover the whole area.

Get the Secret Egg

The watered path opens a final hidden room with a red tree. Walk behind the tree and interact with the hidden Man. Accept the Egg when prompted. If your file has collected the earlier Eggs, the dialogue changes and confirms that this encounter is more important than a simple collectible check.
