Dragon Age: The Veilguard brings a decade-old RPG series back to the modern age from the ones behind the Mass Effect trilogy (ignoring the existence of Andromeda), BioWare. If you were wondering how many endings there are in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, there are three endings that you could get based on the choices you make on your journey. There is a true (good) ending, a neutral ending, and a bad ending.

There’s also a secret post-credit scene where you have to go through some shenanigans to get it. This is actually obtainable regardless of what choices you make or what ending you decide to go with. Here’s what you need to know about getting the secret post-credit scene in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

How To Get The Secret Post Credit Ending

Find the Circle in Arlathan Forest

The first circle is tucked away in Arlathan Forest, specifically in the Waterfront Glades area. To get to it, you need to solve a tricky laser puzzle that builds a bridge to a small island. Once there, you’ll face the Guardian of Secrets, a mini-boss you’ll need to defeat to claim the circle.

Start by working your way through four lasers:

Laser One: Find this laser near some crumbling ruins in the southern part of the Glades. Aim it at the wall device located beneath the second laser.
Laser Two: This laser is directly above the wall device you powered earlier. Redirect it toward the trees in the center of the area.
Laser Three: Head to the northern side and cross a wooden beam. Activate the lever by the gate, collect a power crystal beyond the beam, and insert it into a device near the laser. Aim it between the trees to proceed.
Laser Four: On the northeast side, near a white tree trunk beam, pick up another crystal hidden among boxes, avoid Necrosis patches, and place the crystal into a nearby device. Turn this laser toward the island to complete the puzzle and create the bridge.

Once across, defeat the Guardian of Secrets. This Level 26 foe has barriers and armor, is weak to Electricity, and resists Cold. After the battle, claim your prize and listen for a mysterious voice—you’re on the right track.

The Necropolis Halls Circle

Your second target is found during the Pinnacle of its Kind quest in the Necropolis Halls. Start by investigating a room for clues and then take down three demons, each in a different region: Dock Town, Arlathan Forest, and Hossberg.

Each of these demons is a variant of The Formless One with unique abilities:

Dock Town Boss: Vulnerable to Necrosis and resistant to Electricity.
Arlathan Forest Boss: Weak to Electricity, resistant to Necrosis.
Hossberg Boss: Weak to Cold and resistant to Fire.

After defeating all three, return to the Necropolis Halls to face The Formless One’s final form—an undead dragon. This Level 45 enemy is weak to Necrosis and highly resistant to Electricity, so adjust your strategy accordingly.

Once the dragon is down, grab the second mysterious circle from a treasure nook nearby. As before, you’ll hear a cryptic voice and gain another strange codex entry.

The Final Circle in Crossroads

The last mysterious circle is tied to the Heart of Corruption side quest, which culminates in a grueling battle against the Revenant Dragon. This is one of the toughest challenges in the game, so prepare well.

The Revenant Dragon is Level 50, weak to Fire, and resistant to Cold. It also has the frustrating ability to isolate your companions mid-fight. Completing the Regrets of the Dreadwolf quest beforehand can give you an edge for this encounter.

Once you defeat the dragon, explore the area. Behind the chest holding your loot, climb a small set of stairs to find the final circle. After activating it, you’ll unlock the last piece of the puzzle, triggering another cryptic codex entry and conversation.

Unlock the Secret Ending

With all three circles collected, you’re set! No matter which main ending you pick, the secret post-credits scene will automatically play after the credits roll.
