Here's how to remove the blight blocking the ancient bridge in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

The Singing Blade quest in Dragon Age: Veilguard challenges you to cross an ancient bridge that is fully covered with blight and corruption. You'll have to find a way to remove the blight to access the bridge when moving further. Here's how you solve this puzzle and progress.

Approach the Ancient Bridge

As you reach the old bridge, you will realize that it is fully covered with blight, making it impassable. The growths appear corrupted; however, you can pass through them if you know what to do. Make sure you are positioned on the firm ground near the bridge.

Clear the Blight Growths

Look around for a few blight growths that block your way. Destroy the first to your left to weaken the corruption of the bridge. Next, the next one should become visible when the bridge you crossed disappears. Destroy that one. You’ll see that each one further destabilizes the blight covering the bridge. The last one will be on the wall itself.

Get the Crystal

After destroying a few of the blight patches, a crystal will pop out nearby. I collected it, but I noticed that a few more blight growths popped back up. Take the crystal and, with it in hand, take out the last patches of corruption on the bridge. You'll notice here that with the crystal interacting with the blight, the bridge actually starts to react.

With the initial blight patches taken out, you will see a central core of blight on the bridge that begins to glow red. Indeed, this is the final piece of the puzzle blocking your way across. Once this turns red, strike at it with a well-placed attack, destroying the core entirely. With that core gone, the blight recedes, and the bridge is finally clear.

Cross the Bridge and Collect Your Treasure

Now, with the blight removed, you can cross the bridge. On the other side, there's a reward for all your troubles: treasure. Gather up your loot and insert the crystal into the slot nearby; this opens up the gate. Move along the path and continue in your journey.
