Fellowship Guide | Best Vigour Healer Build & Rotation (Quick Start)

Master the dwarf healer Vigour with a practical opener, resource flow, and tank-focused tactics that keep parties alive in tough pulls.

Game Guide by Ornstein on  Oct 19, 2025

Vigour is a dwarf hybrid healer that blends elements reminiscent of a holy priest and a holy paladin. You access powerful direct heals and a combo-driven resource that rewards dealing damage between lifesaving casts.

While Sylvie can feel easier and often outputs more healing with less effort, Vigour shines when you enjoy juggling burst tools, shields, and a momentum-based resource to keep a tank upright during heavy mechanics.

Core Resource: Building And Spending Radiant Runes

Your kit revolves around generating Radiant Runes by weaving damage into healing. Damage tools like Radiant Blast and Dawnbreaker Orb help fill your rune meter quickly, especially when they hit multiple enemies.

Spending runes unlocks empowered healing effects, letting you drop instant bursts or durable buffs on priority targets. The smoother your damage-to-heal cadence, the more consistently you sustain the party during spikes.

Signature Healing Buff: Rune Of Renewal

Applying Rune of Renewal with a combo point functions like a smart echo. The target receives an immediate heal and a 30-second buff that causes your direct healing on that ally to echo for an additional 25% of the initial heal’s value.

When Rune of Renewal is reapplied to a target already affected by it, the initial heal is massively increased, enabling big stabilizing spikes.

The echoed healing also contributes to Radiant Rune generation relative to the value healed, so keeping this buff rolling on a high-priority ally—usually the tank—feeds back into your resource engine.

Priority Shields: Luminous Barrier

Luminous Barrier places a robust absorb shield on a target for eight seconds, soaking a large portion of incoming damage. Keeping this on the tank as often as possible smooths heavy hits and buys time for your next Greater Heal or Circle of Light.

Because there’s no rage-style drawback, you can maintain proactive shielding on the tank without penalty, turning predictable damage into manageable chip instead of lethal spikes.

Your Bread-And-Butter Heals: Greater Heal And Circle Of Light

Greater Heal delivers large single-target bursts that can crit for lifesaving totals, especially with offensive stat investment. Circle of Light functions like a strong, short-cooldown AoE heal that rapidly tops the group during raid-wide damage.

Use Circle of Light when multiple allies dip, and pair it with Rune of Renewal on the tank so the echoes keep your resource income flowing while the party stabilizes.

Damage-To-Heal Engine: Radiant Blast And Dawnbreaker Orb

Radiant Blast strikes enemies in a cone and is a premier Radiant Rune generator when it cleaves full trash packs. Opening a pull by standing with the tank and casting Radiant Blast immediately provides the rune you need to start your healing sequence.

Dawnbreaker Orb travels forward, healing allies and damaging enemies in its path while adding more rune progress; it scales with the number of targets hit, making it ideal for dense pulls. When both are rolling, you rapidly cycle between shielding, renewing, and bursting heals without going rune-starved.

Filler Damage DoT: Soulbrand

Soulbrand applies a damage-over-time effect that slowly returns a portion of a Radiant Rune over its duration and can be detonated for an instant burst.

While it is situational compared to your primary generators, you can leverage it when you have spare resources and want an incremental rune trickle in extended engagements.

Prioritize Radiant Blast and Dawnbreaker Orb first whenever target counts are high, then weave Soulbrand if the situation allows.

Recommended Opener For Big Pulls

You begin by letting the tank gather enemies, then step in to tag the pack with Radiant Blast to secure your first Radiant Rune chunk. You immediately apply Luminous Barrier to the tank while their health is high, pre-soaking the first wave of damage.

As the pull settles, you place Rune of Renewal on the tank and maintain it so subsequent Greater Heal casts echo for extra throughput and resource gain.

When the group takes collateral damage, you fire Circle of Light to rapidly patch everyone up, then return to Radiant Blast and Dawnbreaker Orb to refill runes for the next shield or renewal cycle.

Tank Healing Pattern That Won’t Let Go

You keep Luminous Barrier rolling whenever heavy hits are expected, refresh Rune of Renewal on the tank as they start taking sustained damage, and interleave Greater Heal for big top-ups.

During multi-mob pulls, continue weaving Radiant Blast to supercharge rune income; after each infusion, choose between a reinforced Rune of Renewal re-application or a reactive Greater Heal depending on the tank’s current health and incoming mechanics. This loop sustains near-constant pressure relief on the frontline.

Group Healing And Emergency Stabilization

When party members dip together, you pivot to Circle of Light on cooldown while the tank remains under Rune of Renewal to keep the echo engine pumping.

If the melee stack is huddled, sending Dawnbreaker Orb through allies and enemies adds supplemental healing and fresh rune income. If someone is being repeatedly hit by mechanics, you keep Rune of Renewal and spot Greater Heal ready for that target until the danger window passes.

Stat Priority And Build Philosophy

Critical Strike and Expertise form a powerful pairing for Vigour. Expertise amplifies all healing, pushing Greater Heal and Circle of Light to impactful baselines, while Critical Strike turns those big numbers into massive lifesavers during spike windows.

With more critical chance, Greater Heal lands colossal crits that can single-handedly stabilize the tank, and Circle of Light crits can swing a party from danger back to safety in one global.

Mana Management That Actually Lasts

You pace offensive casts so they meaningfully contribute to Radiant Rune generation rather than spamming them aimlessly. You rely on Radiant Blast in high-target scenarios for efficient rune income, spend on Luminous Barrier and Rune of Renewal to get paid back through echoes, and reserve Greater Heal for genuine spikes.

By cycling between damage for fuel and selective burst healing, you avoid the common pitfall of going out of mana mid-dungeon.

Smart Dispel Usage: Remove Magic

You watch for dispellable effects highlighted in your HUD and immediately use Remove Magic on purple or blue magical debuffs.

You ignore non-magical effects such as red bleeds or green poisons that cannot be dispelled and instead heal through them. Timely dispels reduce ambient damage and preserve mana that would otherwise be spent on unnecessary spot healing.

When To Choose Sylvie Instead

If you want a simpler experience with strong healing for minimal setup, Sylvie remains an excellent pick. When you prefer a hands-on, damage-to-heal flow with proactive shielding and massive direct bursts, Vigour delivers a rewarding playstyle once mastered.
