A guide on how to use the Critical Weapon build in Guild Wars Reforged.
Game Guide by Groot on Dec 11, 2025
In this guide, you learn how to operate the A/Rt Critical Weapon setup, which merges the Assassin’s Critical Strikes capabilities with the Ritualist’s Restoration support tools. This combination allows you to maintain steady offensive pressure while sustaining your energy and health through continuous attacks and weapon spells.

The aim here is to help you apply the build effectively in different combat situations using its critical-hit focus and Restoration synergy.
Build Overview
You work with three attribute lines: Dagger Mastery, Critical Strikes, and Restoration Magic. The distribution supports your attack pattern and provides access to weapon spells that help you stay active in close combat.
Your skill set consists of Weapon of Warding, Resilient Weapon, Critical Eye, an optional Lead Attack, an optional Off-hand Attack, Critical Strike, Wielder’s Boon, and Flesh of My Flesh. These skills form a loop that supports both offense and survival, letting you continue striking while gaining energy from critical hits.
Equipment Setup
You equip a Bladed Mask, Survivor or Valkyrie Guise, Gloves, Leggings, and Shoes. Your rune arrangement includes a Major Critical Strikes Rune, Superior Vigour Rune, Superior Dagger Mastery Rune, and two Vitae Runes. For weapons, you use Vampiric Daggers of Fortitude with the inscription “Strength and Honour.” This setup supports your health, energy, and damage cycle while maintaining pressure during combat.
How to Use the Build
Before you enter combat, you activate Weapon of Warding to prepare for immediate engagement. Once you begin fighting, you trigger Critical Eye and rotate your chosen Lead Attack, Off-hand Attack, and Critical Strike whenever they become available.
When you receive a condition or hex, you cast Resilient Weapon to reduce the impact and maintain your position. You keep Resilient Weapon active whenever you are under conditions and maintain Weapon of Warding when those conditions are absent but you remain in the group of enemies.

You use Wielder's Boon to heal during fights. It works better when you have a weapon spell open. You use Flesh of My Flesh to bring back a fallen team member and bring the group back together. With the full rotation, you function as a critical damage dealer capable of delivering steady damage in the range of 300–500 every ten seconds, depending on the Lead Attack and Off-hand Attack you choose.
Counters
You use Wielder's Boon to heal during fights. It works better when you have a weapon spell open. You use Flesh of My Flesh to bring back a fallen team member and bring the group back together.
Alternatives and Flexibility
Your optional Lead Attack and Off-hand Attack slots allow you to adjust the build to your specific goals. You choose whether you want control effects such as cripple, area damage, interruption, or higher single-target pressure. You may also include additional runes or insignias if you want to refine certain aspects of the build.
