You can engage in Fishing in Hades as a side activity that can help you obtain valuable items and supplies. This feature allows you to catch various types of Fish as you attempt to escape.

When you trade them in at the House of Hades, they give you different prizes—understanding how time functions and the types of fish available in other areas can improve your chances of catching more Fish in Hades.

How to Start Fishing

When you encounter a Fishing spot during your runs, you can interact with it by pressing the interact button. These spots appear randomly throughout various areas, so keep an eye out for them as you progress.

Once you approach a Fishing spot, position yourself near it and initiate the Fishing process.

Catching Fish Successfully

After you start fishing, keep an eye on the Hook. If a Fish bites the food, the Hook will sink to the bottom of the water. Press the connect button again to make sure your catch stays in place in Hades.

Understanding Fish Rarity and Timing

The frequency of the Fish you catch is directly related to when you press the button. There is a 50% chance of getting a Legendary Fish and a 50% chance of getting a Rare Fish if you press the connect button within 0.34 seconds of the Hook going under the water.

When you catch a Fish between 0.34 and 0.68 seconds, you will receive either a Rare or a Common Fish, with equal probability for each. If you wait longer than 0.68 seconds before pressing the button, you will not catch any Fish at all in Hades.

Location-Based Fish Varieties

Different areas in the underworld contain unique species of Fish. Each region offers its own set of catchable Fish, meaning you cannot find the same species in every location.

This system encourages you to fish in various areas throughout your runs to collect different types of Fish.

Exchanging Your Catch

Go on a run and bring the Fish you caught back to the House of Hades. The Head Chef is in the kitchen. This NPC will trade your Fish for several good things. It's worth collecting different types of Fish from various locations because each type offers distinct benefits. The rewards you get can help you in completing Hades.
