Among the hidden Aspects in Hades, the Stygian Blade: Aspect of Arthur is one of the most distinctive. Unlocking it requires specific investments and a key dialogue with an NPC before the Aspect becomes available at the weapon stand in Hades.

Titan Blood Investment

To begin, you must invest a total of five Titan Blood into the Aspects of the Sword. It does not matter which Sword Aspects you choose to upgrade, as long as the total reaches five. This investment is necessary before you can proceed to the next step.

Getting the Waking Phrase

Once you have spent the required Titan Blood, you need to speak with Nyx. She is the one who provides the required waking phrase to unlock the hidden Aspect. You may need to talk with her several times before she shares it.

A practical way to do this is to start a run, exit early, and return to speak with her repeatedly until she gives you the phrase in Hades.

Unlocking the Hidden Aspect

After receiving the waking phrase from Nyx, go to the Sword’s placeholder in the House. Equip the Stygian Blade and then interact with it once more. Doing this will reveal the Aspect of Arthur in Hades.

Abilities and Effects of the Aspect

The Aspect of Arthur modifies the Sword in several ways. Equipping it grants a bonus of fifty health to your total maximum health. The Sword’s attack is changed into heavy slashes that are slower but deal higher damage.

The special ability creates an Aura on the ground. While standing inside this aura, you take reduced damage, and enemies inside it are slowed.

Projectiles from enemies are also slowed when passing through the Aura, giving you additional control during combat in Hades.
